The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in
regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Cheno-
weth, Case and City Clerk. Absent: Trustee: Peirce
and City Attorney.
The minutes of the last regular meeting held Monday,
April 17, 1922 were read and approved as read.
It was moved that the City liarshal oe authorized to CITY KARSiiAL AUTHOR -
purchase six intersection buttons. IZED TO PURCHASE SIX
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Moon, Meier, INTERSECTION BUTTONS.

The application of John Sandoz for Pool and Billiard JOHN SANDOZ'S APPLICA
license was referred to the Sanitary and Police TION REFERRED TO S.&
Committee. COMMITTEE.
A communication was received from the Chamber of
Commerce relative to the matter of the manner of COMMUNICATION FROM
construction of the new motion picture theatre on the C. OF C. REFERRED TO
west aide of Azusa Avenue between Centre and Sixth POLICE & SANITARY
Street. On motion the same was referred to the Police COMMITTEE.
and Sanitary Committee.
It was moved that the Superintendent of Light & SUPT. OF L. & W.
Water be authorized to purchase the following supplies: AUTHORIZED TO PUR-
Pipe Fittings. (not to exceed $20.00) CHASE SUPPLIES.
2 Bundles of 1" Gal. Pipe.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Moon, Meier,
Chenoweth, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Peirce.
Trustee Moon offered the following Resolution:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING THE OFFICES OF
SUPERINTENDENT OF LIGHT Sc WATER, PLUMBING AND
ELECTRIC INSPECTOR VACANT AND APPOINTING JACK PEIRCE
TO THAT OFFICE AND FIXING HIS SALARY OR COMPENSATION.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Moon, Meier,
Chenoweth, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Peirce.
Trustee Meier offered the following Resolution:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTERS OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, BEING RESOLUTION NO. 675
DECLARING THE OFFICE OF TAX COLLECTOR OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA VACANT AND APPOINTING WM, J. HOLDEN TO
THG AT1..00FZIICE AND FIXING M SLARY OR COMPENSATION.
Trustee Mdon offered the fol o"virig Resolution:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER
OF $1500.00 FROM THE LIGHT FUND TO THE WATER FUND.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Moon, Chenoweth,
Meier, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Peirce.
It was regularly moved and carried that the Ordinance
entitled:
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA, AMENDING SECTIONS 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 11,
13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 24, 25, 26 and 28 OF
ORDINANCE NO, 191 OF THE SAID CITY ENTITLED: 'AN
ORD-INANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA
LICENSING AND REGULATING CERTAIN KINDS OF BUSINESS
CARRIED ON IN SAID CITY ETC.,' ADOPTED MAY 127, 1918."
