RESOLUTION NO. 3450
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA APPOINTING HARRY C. WILLIAMS AS ASSISTANT
CITY ATTORNEY, FIXING HIS SALARY, AND PROVIDING
FOR COMPENSATION FOR EXTRA EMPLOYMENT.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. That Harry C. Williams be, and he is hereby,
appointed and retained as Assistant City Attorney of the City of
Azusa effective June 1, 1956.
SECTION 2. That said appointee shall receive as compensa-
tion a retainer of $ 400.00 per month, payable monthly; provided,
however, that for services rendered by the Assistant City Attorney
outside the County of Los Angeles and for services rendered in the
preparation of municipal bond issues, and for services rendered in
actions in court, appearances and hearings before administrative boards,
and in hearings before any of the commissions of the State of California,
or for any proceedings initiated or undertaken under improvement acts,
the Assistant City Attorney shall be paid, in addition to the fore-
going retainer, such compensation as shall be commensurate with the
services rendered.
SECTION 3. That the Assistant City Attorney shall not be
deemed to be on regular duty, shall not be deemed to be within the
classified service of the City and shall not be deemed to be subject to
the Employees' Retirement System, but that said retainer shall be deemed
and considered as a professional retainer fee.
SECTION 4. That the City Clerk. shall certify to the
adoption of this resolution and shall deliver a certified copy thereof
to said Harry C. Williams.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly
adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting
thereof held on the 4th day of June, 1956, by the following vote of
the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Fawcett, Ortuno, Johnson, Memmesheimer
NOES: Councilmen: None
ABSENT:Councilmen: Romero
