A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO DO CERTAIN
EMERGENCY WORK TO PREPARE FOR NATIONAL OR LOCAL
DEFENSE AND THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST AND NECESSITY
DEMAND THE IMMEDIATE EXPENDITURE OF PUBLIC MONEY
THEREFOR TO SAFEGUARD LIFE, HEALTH AND PROPERTY.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does.resolve as
follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council does hereby find, declare %
and determine that the construction of an electrical distribution 4
sub -station of 450 kw capacity to be located approximately 300 feet`
west of Rockvale Street and.approximately 800 feet north of FirsI
Street, to serve the new Azusa High School, including the necessary
foundation, enclosure and underground conduits and cables, is neces-
sary as emergency work to prepare for national or local defense
and that the public interest and necessity demand the immediate
expenditure of public money for the construction thereof to safe-
guard life, health and property.
SECTION 2. Based upon the foregoing findings and
facts, it is hereby ordered that the said electrical distribution
sub -station including foundation, enclosure and underground conduits
and cables, be constructed without compliance with Chapter 6, Part
2, Division 3, Title 4 of the Government Code of the State of Cali-
fornia.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution.
Adopted and approved this 15th day of May, 1956.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by
the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 15th day of May, 1956, by the following vote of the
Council: ^
