Present at roll call: Trustees: Meier, Case, Moon,City Atty. Chenoweth and City Clerk. Absent: Trustee: Pierce. The minutes of the regular meeting held Aug. 7th were read and approved as read. The request of J. E. Lee for a two :veeks vacation was granted. A communication from the Owl Fumigating Corporation relative to a bill for road work was referred to the City Attorney. It was moved that the Light & Water Superintendent be authorized to purchase the following supplies: 1 Coil of No. 8 wire 1 Keg of service dead ends 6 5 Amp. Light Meters Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Pierce. On motion the matter of sprinkling streets was re- ferred to the Public Works Committee with power to act. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Pierce. On motion the matter of transformer and line for light at the mouth of the San Gabriel Canyon was re- ferred to the Public Works Committee with power to act. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Pierce. The following Resolution was presented: "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICA- TIONS FOR THE GRADING AND PAVING OF ANGELENO AVENUE, SUNSET AVENUE, ORANGE AVENUE, ENID AVENUE, McKEEVER AND VERNON AVENUE IN THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA." The Resolution was read. On motion the same was adopted as read. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case. Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Pierce. 7 P. M. ,5 J. F. The following Resolution was presented: "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AND M20V ,RING HENRY P. GOODWIN, CITY ATTORNEY OF SAID CITY, TO ENTER INTO A RESOLUTION 210. 692 STIPULATION IN THE CAUSE NOW PENDING BEFORE THE SUP- ADOPTED. ERIOR COURT OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, ENTITLED: 'COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES, PLAINTIFF, VERSUS THE CITIES OF ALHAMBRA, ARCADIA, ET AL, DEFENDANTS, NO. 107727'. INGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANC_;S IN CON- FLICT THEREWITH,' ADOPTED AUGUST 16, 1920, BY AMENDING SECTION I THEREOF RELATIVE TO THE HOUR OF HOLDING MEET- INGS.
