A'RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES -OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE THAT PORTION OF SAN GABRIEL AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH CURB LINE OF FOURTH STRF ON THE NORTH TO THE, NORTH CURB LINE OF SECOND STREET ON TM SOUTH, EXCEPTING CERTAIN PORTIONS THEREOF. The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows: Section 1. That the public interest and convenience require, and it is the intention of the Board of Trustees the City of Azusa, State of California, to order the follo ing street work to be done in said City, to -wit: That ac^cement sidewalk, five (5) feet in width be cc strutted along each side of said San Gabriel Avenue from South curb line of Fourth Street on the North to the Nort] curb line of Second Street on the South(excepting along sl portions of San Gabriel Avenue upon which a cement sidewa five (5) feet in width ha& already been constructed to t official line and grade), said sidewalk to be constructed according to specifications for the construction of cemen sidewalk on file in the office of the.City Clerk of the C of Azusa, said Specifications being numbered 7, except tk said sidewalk shall tie laid two feet from the property ] instead of as specified in said specifications . Second. That a cement curb be constructed along be, I sides of San Gabriel Avenue from the South curb line of Fourth Street On the North to the North curb line of Sec, Street on the South (excepting along such portions of th of said San Babriel Avenue upon which a cement curb has been constructed to the official line and Grade), in ace with the specifications for -the construction of cement c on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of A said specifications beingnnumbered 8, provided that suck turbo shall be placed sixteen feet from the property lir Third:lThat all that portion of San Gabriel Avenue the South curb line of Fourth Street on the North to th4 curb line of Second Street on the South including all it n„ch nortionn of said Sa L M 0 0 Gabriel Avenue and intersections as are required by law to be kept in order, or repair by any person or company having railroad traeks:thereon and excepting such portions of said San Gabriel Avenue which have been graded and surfaced with clay a.,lf decomposed granite according to the specifications herein pro- vided and to the official grade) be graded and surfaced with clay and decomposed granite,,in accordance with the. plant and profile on file in the office pf the City -Engineer , and specifications for the eonatruc�ion of graded and surfaced ..streets with clay and decomposed granite on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, said specifications being numbered Six (6), except that said street shall be surfaced for the width of ten feet only along each side of the Centre line thereof, instead of the whole width of. said roadway, as specified in said specifications, Section 2. That the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa finds upon estimates directed to be furnished, and furnished by the City Engineer of said City of Azusa, that the total cost of said proposed,work or improvement will be greater than fifty(60) cents per front foot along each line of said street so proposed to be improved, as hereinbefore set forth, including the cost of intersection work assessable upon said frontage; and said Board of Trustees determines that serial bonds be issued oto represent the cost of said work or improvement ; said serial bonds shall be extended over a_period, ending Rine(9) years from and.:after the second day of January next succeeding the date of said bonds,. and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable by coupon on the second day of Jamupry every year after their date undil the whole is.paid,,and the ,interest shall be payable semi-annuallyby coupon on the second days of January and July respectively of sash year, at the rate 9f seven (7) per cent.per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole of said principal and interest are paid. Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with.the provisions of an Act of the Legislature o; the State of California, entitled "An Act to Provide a System of Street Improvement Bonds to Represent Cer- tain Assessments for the Coat of Street Work and Improvement Within Munibipalities, and also for the Payment of such Bonds", approved February 27th, 1893, and all acts supplementary thereto 92 or amendatory thereof. Section 3. The Pomotropic a weekly newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in the City of Azusa, to hereby designated as the newspaper in which this resolu- tion of Intention ,and the notice of the passage thereof, shall be published in the manner and by the persona required by law. Section 4. The Superintendent of Streets of the:r.said City of Azusa is hereby directed to poet notices of the passage of this Resolution in the manner and in the form re- quired by law, and to cause a similar notice to be published Py one insertion in said newspaper in the manner required by law, - Seetioa:,S. The City Clerk oi;:.the City of< Azusa shall certify to the passage of -this Resolution and shall cause the sake to be published by two insertions -in the manner required by law in said newspaper , and shall post th e name oonspiciously for two days on or near the chamber door of the Board of Trustees of said City.
