A RESOLUTI014 OF THE BOARD OF TRUST'E'ES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ,%r'.,,
ORDERING CERTAIN WORK TO BE ON SIXTH STREET IN THE CITY OF
AZUSA.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do resolve as follove,
Section 1. That the street work herein described is required
by the public interest and convenience , and the Board of Trustees
of the City of Azusa, State of California, hereby ordersthe Game
to be done according to specifications and plans adopted for said
work, and under the direction and to the satisfaction of the
Superintendent of Streets of said City to -wit:
First. That a cement sidewalk,five (5) feet in width be con-
structed along each side of said Sixth Street from the east line
of San Gabriel Avenue to the west line of Cerritos Avenue (except-
ing along such portions of said Sixth Street upon which a cement
sidewalk five (6) feet in width hae already been constructed to th
official line and grade ) , said sidewalk to be constructed ac-
cording to specifications for the construction of cement sidewalk
on file in the office of the City Clerk ,of the City of Azusa, 7
said specifications being numbered 7.
Second. That a cement curb be construvted along both sides
of said Sixth Street from the east line of San Gabriel Avenue to
the west line off'Cerritos Avenue (excepting along -such portions
of the line of said roadway upon which a cement curb has already
been constructed to the official line and grade) in accordance
with the specifications for the construction:of cement ourbe on
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa, said
specifications being numbered 8.
SECTION 2. That the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
finds upon estimates directed to be furnished , and furnished, by
the City Engineer of said City of Azusa, that the total cost of
said proposed work or improvement will be greater that fifty (50)
cents per front foot along each line of said street so proposed
to be improved, as hereinbefore set forth, including the cost of
intersection work assessable upon said frontage ;and said Board
of Trustees determines that serial bonds shall be issued to repri
sent the cost of said work or improvement; said serial bonds eha'
be extended over a period , ending nine (9) yeare from and after

the 2nd day of January next succeeding the date of said bonds,
and an even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall
be payable by coupon on the 2nd day of January every year after
date until the whole is paid , and the interest shall be payable
semi-annually by coupon on the second days of January andJuly
respectively of each year , at the rate of seven (7) -per cent
per annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole•of said prillcipal
and intereat are paid . Said bonds shall be issued in accordance
with the provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of
California , entitled "AN'ACT TO PROVIDE A SYSTM OF STREET IUQ
PROVEMENT TO REPRESENT CERTAIN ASSESSICTNTS FOR THE COST OF STREET
YORK AND IMPROVEMENT IIITHIN MUNICIPALITIES, AND ALSO FORTHE PAY-
-NEWT OF SUCH BONDS ," approved February 27th, 1893, and of all
acts supplementary thereto, or amendatory thereof.
SECTION 3; The Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper of general
circulation, published and circulated in said City of Azusa, is
hereby designated as the newspaper in which this Resolution and
Notice of said Street work inviting se§led proposals shal1,be
published in the manner and form and by the persons required
by law.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk of the City of Azusais hereby di-

rected to post conspiciously for five days on or near the chamber
door of the Board of Trustees , in the manner and form required
by law, a notice with specifications , inviting sealed proposals
or bids for doing the said work; and said City Clerk is hereby
,directed to publish for two days in said newspaper hereby
designated for that purposei7 as aforesaid , in the mannerand in Ua
the form required by law, a notice of said work, inviting sealed
proposals or bids for doing said work, and referring to the spec-
ifications posted and on file.
'said 4otice shall require a certified check or bond, either
'as prescribed by law, and for an amount not less that ten per
,cent of the aggregate of the proposal. @aid City Clerk is also
hereby directed to publish this Resolution for two days in the
manner required by law, in said newspaper designated for that
purpose, as aforesaid.
