A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE

CITY OF AZUSA CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF A GENERAL

MUNICIPAL ELECTION ON THE 8th DAY OF APRIL, 1912, IN

AND FOR SAID CITY OF AZUSA AND SUBMITTING THE QUESTION

TO THE QUALIFIED ELECTORS OF SAID CITY WHETHER EACH
8
MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES SHALL RECEIVE AS
9
COMPENSATION FOR HIS SERVICES AS SUCH MEMBER THE
10
SUM OF FIVE DOLLARS FOR EACH MEETING OF SAID BOARD
11
ACTUALLY ATTENDED BY SUCH MEMBER NOT EXCEEDING TWO

MEETINGS IN EACH MONTH.

Be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City

SECTION 1. That there shall be held in the City of

Azusa on Monday, the 8th day of April, 1912, a general

municipal election by the qualified electors of said City of

Azusa, for the purpose of electing the following city officers,

to -wit:

TWO MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
For a full term of four years, and

ONE MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

For one unexpired term of two years.

A CITY CLERK, and

A CITY' TREASURER.

SECTION 2. That the number of election precincts
27
shall be one, and the boundaries thereof shall be the exterior
boundaries of the City of Azusa; that the location of the
28
polling place therein shall be in the City Hall on the north
29
side of Centre Street between Alameda Avenue and Dalton Avenue
30
in said City of Azusa.

SECTION 3. That the polls shall be opened at six

o'clock on the morning of the day of election, and shall be kept
open until six o'clock in the afternoon of the same day, when
the polls shall be closed; provided, however, that if, at the
hour of closing, there are any other voters in the polling
place, or in line at the door, who are qualified to vote, and
have not been able to do so since appearing, the polls shall
be kept, open a sufficient time to enable them to vote. But no
one who shall arrive at the polling place after six o'clock in
the afternoon shall be entitled to vote, although the polls
may be open when he arrives.
SECTION 4. That the Board of Election shall be:

compensation fixed at $ 10. for all services.
SECTION 5. That there is hereby submitted to the
qualified electors of the City of Azusa at said general
municipal election to be held therein April Sth, 1912, the
question whether each member of the Board of Trustees of said
City shall receive as compensation for his services, as such
member, the sum -of Five ($5.06) Dollars for each meeting of
said Board actually attended by such member not exceeding two
meetings in each month.
The voter at such election shall mark the ballot by
stamping in the appropriate voting square a cross (x) opposite
the answer he or she desires to give on such question. Such
cross shall be made with a stamp.
SECTION 6. That notice of the time and place of

holding the said general municipal election, and of the
submission of the question of compensation to be paid members
of the Board of Trustees is hereby given.
SECTION 7., The City Clerk shall certify,to the
passage of this resolution, and shall,cause the same to be
published twice before the date of said election, in the
Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper of .general circulation,
published in said City of Azusa, and post a copy thereof in at
least three public places in said City for at least one week
next preceding the date of satelection.
