HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - October 2, 1922 - CCCITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA MONDAY OCT. 2nd, 1922 7:30 P.M. 81 The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Trustees: Peirce, Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, City Attorney, City Clerk. Absent: None. The minutes of the regular meeting held Sept. 18th were read and approved as read. On motion the request of Geo. M. Clark for permiss- ion to construct a driveway into his property at 338 N. Azusa Avenue was granted the work to be done under the supervision of the City Engineer. On motion J. E. Daugherty was granted a one weeks vacation commencing.Oct. 3rd, 1922. It was moved that the City Engineer be instructed to have a concrete wall built on the East side of Azusa Avenue to connect the South side of the bridge over the Little Dalton Wash with a wall to be built by Mr. Leland Poage on the Past side of said wash at the property line. -u 4 Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None. Absent: None. 'On motion duly carried the application of Chas. Reagan for a permit to operate a lunch wagon was re- ferred to the Public Works Committee with power to act. It was moved that the Superintendent of Light & Water be authorized -to purchase the following supplies: 10 5/8 Water Meters. 2 Bundles of 1" pipe. 5 10 Amp. Light Meters. ' Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier. Case, Peirce, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: No ne. GEO. M. CLARK'S REQUEST TO CON- STRUCT DRIVEWAY GRANTED. DAUGHERTY GRANTED VACATION. Trustee Meier offered the following Resolution: "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA APPROVING FUND ADOPTING A MAP OF TRACT #5477 The Resolution was read. 'It was moved that the Board authorize the purchase of two (2) orders of 250 feet each of Eureka Trojan Jacket fire hose at $1.10 per foot to be shipped in one case. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth., Peirce. Noes: None. Absent: None. The following Ordinance was presented: "All ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION 20, OF ORDINANCE NO. 191 01 THE SAID CITY OF AZUSA ENTITLED: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA LICENSING AND REGULAT- ING CERTAIN KINDS OF BUSINESS CARRIED ON IN SAID CITY, ETC.", ADOPTED MAY 27, 1918. RESOLUTION NO. 699 ADOPTED. AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF FIRE HOSE. ORDINANCE READ. 82 I 0 0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD OCT. 2nd, 1922 7 :30 P.M.
