That the public interest and'convenience s require, and the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa did, 7 on the 21st day of February, 1916, at the hour of 7:30 o'clock pp all P, M. of said date, in the City Council room of said city, pub- slj licly open, examine and declare all sealed bide or proposals 10{' offered for the following work, to-wit: 1111 FIRST: That a cement 6idewalk, five (5) feet in 12 Iy width, be constructed along each side of Dalton Avenue, from 13ff the southerly property line of Eleventh Street to a line drawn 14 N across said Dalton Avenue, between the southeast corner of Lot 24 I� 25 zs �4 27 28 fI 29 If 30 31 II I� 32 4, Block 19, Map of Azusa, as per Map thereof recorded in Book 15, page 93 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, State of California, and the southwest corner of Lot 15, Block 18 of said Map of Azusa; and also that a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width be constructed along each side of Dalton Avenue from a line drawn across said Dalton Avenue, between the northeast cor- ner of Lot 37, Block 30 of said Map of Azusa, and the northwest corner of Lot 22, Block 18 of said Map of Azusa, to the northerly line of Second Street in said City, in accordance with the plans, profiles and cross-sections numbered "B-40" and "B-41," and in further accordance with specifications No. 10 of said City, ex- cept along such portions of said Dalton Avenue upon which a ce- ment sidewalk five (5) feet in width has already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade in accordance with and where shown upon the improvement plans, profiles and cross- sections Nos. "B-40" and "B-41",and in further accordance with specifications No. 10 for the construction of cement sidewalks in the City'of Azusa. 1 2 3 4 5 s 7 6:s 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 13 19 20 21 22 23 24 .25 26 27 28 29 4 SWORD: That, a cement, curb, Class "B", be oons,tructed along each side of Dalton Avenue, from the southerly line of Eleventh Street to a line drawn across said Dalton;Avenue, six (6) feet, northerly from and parallel with the northerly line of Ninth Street; and also that a cement curb, Class "B", be constructed along each side of Dalton -Avenue from a line drawn across said Dalton Avenue between -the northeast corner of Lot 37, Block 30 of said Map of Azusa, and the northwest corner of Lot 22, Block 18, of said Map of Azusa, to a line drawn across said Dalton'Avenue six (6) feet northerly from and parallel with the northerly line of Centre Street; and also that a cement curb, Class "B",.be constructed along each side of Dalton Avenue,, from a line drawn across said Dalton Avenue'parallel with and selrenty-five (75) feet southerly from the south line of Centre Street to the northerly line of Second Street in said City, in' accordance with the plans, profiles,and cross-sections Nos. "B-40" and "B-4111; and in further accordance'with specifications No, 12 of, said City, except along such portions of said Dalton Avenue upon which•A cement curb has already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade in accordance with and where shown upon the improvement, plans, profiles and cross- sections Nos. "B-40" and "B-41,0'and in further accordance with specifications No. 12 for the construction of cement curbs in the City of Azusa, THIRD: That a•cement curb, Class "C",be constructed along both sides of -Dalton Avenue, -from a line drawn across'zaid Dalton Avenue six (6) feet northerly from and parallel with the northerly line of Ninth Street to a line drawn across said Dalton Avenue between the southeast corner of Lot 4, Block 19, of said 3o Map of Azusa, and the southwest corner of,Lot 15, Block 18 of 31said Map of Azusa, and also that a cement curb, Class "C", be 32;, constructed along both sides of said Dalton Avenue from a line u I -2- gyp.` t al 1;y drawn across said Dalton Avenue six (6) feet northerly from and zparallel with the northerly line of Centre Street to a line drawn ajf across said Dalton Avenue seventy-five (75) feet southerly from 4i� and parallel with the southerly line of Centre Street in said 5;. City, in accordance with and where shown upon the improvement I ' sj! plans, profiles and cross-sections No. 4'B-40" and No. "B-4111, ands 71� in further accordance with specifications No. 16 of said City, except along such portions of said Dalton Avenue upon which a s;� cement curb, Class "C", has already been constructed and now is 10, to the official line and grade in accordance with and where 11 l{ shown upon the improvement plan, profiles and cross-sections No. 12 "B-40" and No. "B-410, and in further accordance with speoifi- ai la cations No. 16 for the construction of cement curbs in the said 14 City of Azusa. 15 SECTION 2. FIRST: The said Board of Trustees find i 16 that the following described Lots, pieces or parcels of land i; 17 liable to be assessed, to pay the costs and expenses of the pro - 18 �1 posed work or improvement, to-wit.- 119 o-wit:119 All of Lots, numbered 1, 2, 3, 40 5, 6,7, and 460 47 i 20 and 48, of Block 30, of said Map of Azusa, the title to which I 21 i is vested in the City of Azusa, a 'municipal corporation, are 22i devoted to public use, to -wit: Public Park purposes, and the ! 2a !I Board of Trustees of said City hereby declares and determines 24 that said Lots, �ieces or parcels of land shall be included in 25 :; the assessments to be made to cover the cost and expenses of 26 '� said improvements. ? SECOND: The Board of Trustees declares that that por- 29 I tion of the cost and expenses of said public work or improvement 29 I to be -assessed against the Lots, pieces or parcels of land, de - so N scribed in Subdivision 1, of Section 2 of this Resolution, shall al I, be payable by the said City of Azusa out of the general fund of s2 �� said City. �� —3— IB 4 II t 0, ti 1 SECTION 3•. That the Board of Trustees of the City of 2 Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent 3 assessments 'of Twenty-five($25.00) Dollars or over for the cost 1 4 of said work or improvement; said serial bonds shall extend over 5 a period ending nine (9) years from and after the second day of 6 ,January next succeeding the date of said bonds, and an even annual I 7, proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be payable by coupon .8 n e seoond-day of January" of every year after their date until 9 the whole is paid; arid, -the interest shall be payable semi-annuallyo 10 by coupon, on the second da}s of Januaryand July respectively, of i1 each year, at the rate of seven (7) per cent per annum on all sums 12 ;ftnpaid, until the whole of said interest and principal are paid. 13�18aid bonds shall be issued'in accordanoe with the provision of an 14Act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled, "AN 15 ACT TO PROVIDE FOR WORK IN AND UPON STREETS, AVENUES, LANES, ALLEYS 16 COURTS; PLACES AND SIDEVALKS WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES AND UPON PROPER - 47 11 . TY ROPPR-i711TY AND RIGHTS OB WAY OYMED BY MUNICIPALITIES AND FOR ESTABLISHING 18 AND CILANGING THE GRADES OF ANY SUCH, AVlOUEB, LANES, ALLEYS, COURTS 19 PLACES AND $IDE -WALKS AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE AND PAYMMT Ob 20 STREET IMPROVEMANT BONDS TO REPRESENT CERTAIN ASSESSEtENTS FOR THE 21 COST THEREOF, AND PROVIDING A METHOD FOR THE PAYMENT OF SUCH BONDS" 22 approved April 7th, 1911, and all acts supplementary thereto or, 23 amendatory thereof* 24 SECTION 4.
