Said cast-iron lighting posts shall be placed along
both sides of Centre Street and said Azusa Avenue above

described, and all of said lighting posts shall be located i
with the center thereof one foot and five inches inside of the
respective adjacent curb lines along said Centre.Street and
said Azusa Avenue, as the same is shown on said Plan t;o. "B 35",
Also that a steel conduit be constructed along the
north side of said Centre Street, from a line dram across

Section 2. All Plans, Profiles, and Cross-sections
referred to in this Resolution are on file in the office of
the City Engineer of said City.
All specifications referred to in this Resolution
are on file in the office of the City Clerk of eaid City.
Said Plans, Profiles, and'Cross-sections and specifi-
cations are hereby referred to for a more particular descrip-
tion of said work and made a part hereof.
All streets referred to in this Resolution are public
streets in the City of Azusa.
Section 3. That the said contemplated work, or improve-
ment in the -opinion of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Azusa is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and said
Board of =rustees hereby declares that the -district in said
City of Azusa benefited by said work or improvement and to be
assessed to pay, the cost and expenses thereof, is described

Section.4 First: The said Board of Trustees finds that,
the following described lots, pieces or parcels of land in-
cluded within the district to be assessed to pay the costs and i

expenses of the proposed work or improvement, to wit:
All of Lots, numbered 1 to.14, both inclusive, of

Block 30, Hap of Azusa, as per 11ap thereof recorded in Book
15, Page 93, Kiscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County,
i
State of California, the title to which is vested in the City
of Azusa, a municipal corporation, are devoted to public use;
to wit: Public Park.purposes, and the Board of Trustees of
said City hereby declares and determines that said lots, pieces ,
I
or parcels of land shall be included in the assessment to be
made to cover the cost and expenses of said improvement.
Second: The Board of=•rustees declares that that
I
portion of the cost and expense of said proposed work or' im-
provement to be assessed against the lots, pieces or parcels
i
of land described in subdivision first of section four, of
this resolution, shall be payable by the said City of Azusa,

out of the General Fund of said City.
Section 5: The City Engineer is hereby directed to
make a diagram of the property affected or benefited by the
proposed work or improvement as described in the -Resolution of
Intention and to be assessed to pay the expense thereof. Such
diagram dhall show each separate lot, piEce or parcel of land,
the area in square feet of each of said lots, pieces or par-
cels of land, and the relative location of the same to the
work proposed to be done, all within the limits of the assess-
ment district.
Section 6i The said Board of `Trustees of the City of
Azusa determines that serial bonds shall be issued to repre-
sent assessments of Twenty-five (25,00) Dollars, or over for
the cost of said work or improvement, Said serial bonds shall
extend over a period ending nine (9) years from the second day
of January, next succeeding the date of said bonds, and an
even annual proportion of the principal sum thereof shall be
due and payable by coupon on the second day of January of
every year after their date until the whole is paid, and the
interest shall'be paid semi-annually by coupon on the second
days of January and July, respectively, of each year, at the
rate of seven (7) per cent per annum, on all suns unpaid until
the whole of said principal and interest are paid.
Such bonds shall be issued in accordance withthe
provisions of an Act of the Legislature of the State of
California, entitled, "An Act to Provide for Work In and
Upon Streets, Avenues, Lanes, Alleys, Courts, Places and
Side Walks within municipalities and upon property and rights-
of-way owned by municipalities, and for establishing and
changing the grades on any- such streets, avenues, lanes,
alleys, courts, places and sidewalks, and providing for the
issuance and payment of street improvement bonds to represent

1 certain assesanents for the cost thereof, and providing a
8 II method for the payment of such bonds", approved April 7,
1911, and .of all acts supplementary thereto or amendatory
4 I! thereof,
g ! Section 7, And thereafter, to -wit, on the 3d day
g of January, 1916, said Board of Trustees hereby rejects all {
7 �, of said bids, so offered e,:cept that next hereinafter mentioned i

specifications, for two days, on or near the chamber door
of the -board of 'Trustees of the City of Azusa.
Section 9. The City Clerk shall certify to the
passage of this Resolution, and the same shall take Affect
28 1 and be in full force from and thereafter.
