RESOLUTION NO 434,
Resolved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa,
as follows;

Section 1. That the public interest and convenience re-

quires and. the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa, did
3
in open session on the 15th day of February 1915 at 7:30
4
o'clock P.P . of said day, at a regular meting of said Board
5
of Trustees, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed
6
bids or -proposals offered for the following work to-wit;
7
First. That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width be
8
constructed along the northerly and southerly sides of the
9
roadway of Tenth Street from the east line of Vernon Avenue,
10
to the west curb line of Azusa Avenue (except along such por-
11 •
tions of said street upon which a cement sidewalk five ( 5)
12
feet in width has already been constructed and now is to the
13
official line and grade) in accordance with and where shown
14
upon improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections RO. 15 22
15
and in further accordance with specifications designated
16
Specifications NO 10 for the construction of cement sidewalks
17
in the City of Azusa, on file in the effice of the City
18
Clerk of the City of Azusa.

Second. That a cement curb be constructed along each
20
side of the roadway of Tenth Street from the east line of
21
Vernon Avenue to the west curb line of Azusa Avenue (except
22
along such portions of said street upon which a cement curb

has already been construdted and now is to the official
24
line and grade) in accordance with and where shorn upon •
25
the improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections NO B 22
26
and in further accordance with specifications designated
27
Specifications NO 12 for the construction of cement curbs
28
in the City of Azusa on file in the office of the City
29
Clerk of the said City of Azusa.

Sec. 2 That the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
31
determines that serial bonds shall be issued to represent
32
assessments of Twenty-five dollars ($25.00) or over for the
cost of said work or improvement; said serial bonds shall

extend over a period ending nine (9) years from and after
the second day of January next, succeeding the date of
1 said bonds, and an even annual proportion of the principal
2 sum thereof shall be payable by coupon, on the second day
3 of January every year after their date until the whole is
4 paid; and the interest shall be payable semi-annually
5 by coupon, on the second days of January and July, respec-
6 tively of each year, at the rate of seven (7%) per sent
7 per :annum on all sums unpaid, until the whole os said
8 principal and interest are paid.
9 Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with the pro-
10 visions of an act of the Legislature of the State of Cal-
11 ifornia, entitled, "AN ACT TO PROVIDE FOR WORK I1 AND UPON
12 STR`-'?TS, AVENUES, LANES,ALLEYS, COURTS, PLACES AND SIDE-
13 WALKS, WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES AND UPON PROPERTY AND RIGHTS
14 OF WAY OWNED BY MUNICIPALITIES, AND FOR ESTABLISHING AND
15 CHANGING THE GRADES OF ANY SUCH STR1;•ETS, AVENUES, LANES,
16 ALLEYS, COURTS, PLACES AND SIDEWALKS, AND PROVIDING FOR
17 THE ISSUANCE OF ANY PAir.?NT OF STREET EET I ':PROVE NT BONDS
18 TO REPRESENT CERTAIN ASSESSMENTS FOR THE COSTS THEREOF,
19 AND PROVIDING A METHOD FOR THE PAYMENT OF SUCH BONDS, "
20 approved April 7t41911 and all acts supplementary thereto
21 or amendatory thereof.
22 Section 3. All improvement plans, profiles and cross-
23 sections hereinbefore mentioned are hereby made a part of
24 this Resolution and are referred to foe a more particular
25 description of said work and made a part hereof.
26 All specifications referred to in this resolution are on
27 file in the office of the City ®lerk of the City of Azusa.
28 All improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections
29 referred to in this resolution are on file in the office
30 of the City Engineer of the City of Azusa.
31 All streets referred to in this resolution are public
32 streets in the City of Azusa.
Section 4. That said Board of trustees on this 17th
day of February, 1915, rejects all bids or proposals offered
for said work except that next hereinafter mentioned and
hereby awards the contract for said work to the lowest
1 regular responsible bidder, at the prices named in their
2 bid or proposal, to-wit;

6 Section 5. The City Clerk is hereby directed to
7 publish a notice of this award by one publication in the
8 Pomotropic, a weeklkewspaper publihhed and circulated in
9 said City and hereby designated for that purpose and shall
10 coflspicuously post a similar notice of Award of said Con-
it tract with the specifications, referred to in said work,
12 for five days on or near the Council Chamber door of the
13 City of Azusa and then and thereafter this Resolution shall
14 be in full force and effect.

21 I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was

passed by the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa,
23
signed by the President of said Board and attested to by the
24 City Clerk, all at a regular adjourned meeting held the
25
17th day of February 1915, and that the same was passed
26
by the following vote, to-wit;
