HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - December 18, 1922 - CCCITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA. DECEMBER 18TH, 1922 The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, bleier, Case,. Peirce, Chenoweth, City Attorney and City Clerk. Absent: None. The minutes of the regular meeting held December 4th were read and approved as read. A petition was read complaining of Georhe W. Fuhr's fertilizer house and on motion dnl,y carried the same was referred to the Sanitary and 'Police Committee to report at next meeting. It was moved that the Superintendent of Light & Water be authorized to purchase one coil of IJo. 8 and two coils of No. 10 wire. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Peirce, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: None. It was moved that the matter of a rebate for power to the Owl Fumigating Corp. be referred to Idr. Case with power to arrange a settlement not to exceed $300. Carried by the following, vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Peirce, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: None. The following Resolution was presented: A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF' TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, REQUIRING A FINANCIAL REPORT OF THE CITY TREASURER. The Resolution was read. On motion'the same was adopted as read. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Peirce, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: None. 7:30 P. M. 115 PETITION READ CON- CERNING G. W. FUHR'S r'ERTILIZER HOUSE. N. &. L. SUPT. AUTHORIZED TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES. MR. CASE AUTHOR- IZFD TO ARRANGE SETTLEIJENT WITH OWL FU11JIGATING CORP. RESOLUTION NO. 709 ADOPTED. It was moved that the fire insurance policies on the City Library expiring in January be renewed by the CONCERNING LIBRARY same agents with the exception of the Policy written FIRE INSURANCE POLIC- by T. C. Bouldin which is to be given to P. E. Calvert.IES. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Peirce, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: None. The following Ordinance was presented: Ali ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AMENDING SECTION 15 OF ORDINANCE NO. 164 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ENTITLED; "Ali ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, ESTABLISHING THE OFFICE OF BUILDING INSPECTOR, FIXING HIS COMPENSATION, DEFINING HIS DUTIES, ESTABLISHING FIRE LIMITS IN SAID CITY, and PROVIDING REGULATIONS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, ALTER- ATION, AND REPAIR OF BUILDINGS IIJ SAID CITY, PRES- CRIBING THE PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION OF SAID ORD- INANCE, AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH." Absent: None. The Ordinance was read. It was moved that the Ordinance be declared read for the second time and taken:up for its third reading and final passage. On motion the Board went into executive session for 15 minutes. At the expiration of 15 minutes the Board re- convened with all Trustees present.
