RESOLUTION NO. 848
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, ORDERING THE WORK ON ANGELENO AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa,
did on the 20th day of July, 1925, pass its Resolution of In-
tention ITO. 844 to order the hereinafter described work to be
done and improvement to be made in said City which Resolution
Of Intention was duly and legally published as required by
law, as appears from the affidavit of 0. 0. Broxon, now on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and
WHEREAS'
notices of the passage of said Resolution
of Intention No. 844 headed "Notice of Improvement" were duly
and legally posted along the line of said contemplated work
and improvement and in front of all the property liable to be
assessed therefor, and on and along each and every open street
and highway in the assessment district described in said Re-
solution of Intention, in time, form manner and number as
required by law, after the passage o� said Resolution of In-
tention as appears from the affidavit of Joseph E. Lee, Street
Superintendent, who personally posted the same, and who, upon
the completion of the posting of said notices, forthwith filed
said affidavit in the office of the City Clerk, making oath

that he completed the posting of said notices n the 6th day
Of August, 1925; and
WHEREAS, all protests or objections presented have
been heard and disposed of in time, form and manner as re-
quired byy law and said Board of Trustees having now acquired
jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement, it is hereby
RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience re-
gwire the work herein described and the Board of Trustees of
the City of Azusa hereby orders the following work to be done
and improvement to be made in said City, to -wit:
The construction of cement sidewalks and curbs and
incidentals thereto as shown on plans profiles and cross-
sections Nos. 1035 and 1036• and 3 ecifications Nos. 1035-A
and 1035-B. Said improvement to extend from the South curb
line of Eleventh Street, to the North curb line of Sixth Street,
excepting that portion of Angeleno Avenue from the South line
of Ninth Street to the North line of Center Street in accord-
ance with Resolution of Intention PTO. 844 which is hereby re-
ferred to for further particulars.
The City Clerk is hereby instructed to post a notice
Of said work, together with the plans and specifications there-
for, conspicuously for five days on or near the council chamber
door, of said City inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing
the work ordered. Said clerk is also directed to publish twice,
a notice inviting such proposals and referring to the specifi-
cations posted or on file in the 20110TROPIC, a weekly news-
paper published and circulated in said City and hereby designa-
ted for that purpose.
All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a check
payable to the City of Azusa certified by a responsible bank
for an amount which shall not be less than ten per cent of the
aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for the said amount
and so payable, signed by the bidder and two sureties, who
shall justify, before any officer competent to administer an
oath, in double the said amount, and over and above all statu-
tory exemptions.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to
the City Clerk of the Board of Trustees of said City, on or
before 7:30 o'clock P. M., on Tuesday, the 8th day of September,
1925 said time being not less than ten days from the time of
the first posting and publication of the notice of said work
and inviting sealed proposals on which day and hour all pro-
posals or bids will be publicly opened by said Board of Trustees.

do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly passed
by the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa and signed by
the President of said Board at a regular meeting thereof held
on the 17th day of August, 1925, and that the same was passed
by the following vote, to -wit. .
Ayes. Trustees: Meier, Chenoweth, Peirce, Durrell.
Noes. Trustees; None.
Absent: Trustees: Moon.
