RESOLUTION NO. 844
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO I1VTPROVE PORTIONS OF ANGELENO AVENUE IN THE
CITY OF AZUSA AND DETER14IIdING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT
THE COST THEREOF.
RESOLVED, that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Azusa, to order the following work to be done and im-
provement to be made in said City, to -wit:
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require
and that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Azusa to order the following work to be done in accordance with the
provisions of an act of the Legislature of the State of California en-
titled, "All ACT TO PROVIDE FOR WORK IN AND UPON STREETS, AVENUES,
PLACES AIM SIDEWALKS WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES" approved April 7, 1911
and known as the "IIv'IPROVEIJENT ACT OF 1911" and all acts supplementary
thereto or amendatory thereof, to -wit:
FIRST: That a cement curb be constructed along each line of
the roadway of said Angeleno Avenue from a line drawn across said
Angeleno Avenue parallel to and Forty-eight (48) feet south of the
south line of Lot 66 of Subdivision No. 2, Azusa Land and Water Com-
pany as recorded in Book 43, Page 94, Idiscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, to a line drawn parallel to and Twelve (12) feet south
of a line drawn across said Angeleno Avenue from the southeast corner
of Lot 16 of Block 39 to the southwest corner of Lot 23 of Block 38 as
per map recorded in Book 15, Page 93, Ioliseellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, excepting that portion of the said Angeleno Avenue in-
cluded between a line drawn across the said Angeleno Avenue, from the
northeast corner of Lot 1 of Block 23, to the northwest corner of Lot
26 of Block 22, and a line drawn across said Avenue from the southeast
corner of Lot 1 of Block 26 to the southwest corner of Lot 14 of Block
27 as recorded in Book 15 Page 93, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, except along such portions of said Avenue upon which a cement
curb has already been constructed and now is to the official line and
grade in accordance with and where shown upon the improvement plans,
profiles and cross-sections Nos. 1035 and 1036 and in further accord-
ance with Specifications No. 1035-B for the construction of cement
curbs in the City of Azusa.
SECOND: That a cement sidewalk Five (5) feet in width be con-
structed along each line of the roadway of said Angeleno Avenue from
a line drawn across said Angeleno Avenue parallel to and Forty-eight
(48) feet south of the south line of Lot 66 of Subdivision No. 2 Azusa
Land and water Company, as recorded in Book 43, Page 94 I4iscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, to a line drawn parallel to and twelve
(12) feet south of a line drawn across said Angeleno Avenue from the
southeast corner of Lot 16 of Block 39 to the southwest corner of Lot
23 of Block 38 as per map recorded in Book 15 Page 93 Iuliscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, excepting that portion of the said
Angeleno Avenue included between a line drawn across the said Avenue,
from the Northeast corner of Lot 1 of Block 23 to the Northwest cor-
ner of Lot 26 of Block 22, and a line drawn across said Avenue from
the Southeast corner of Lot 1 of Block 26 to the Southwest corner of
Lot 14 of Block 27 as recorded in Book 15, Page 93 Idiscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, except along such portions of said Avenue upon
which a cement sidewalk Five (5) feet wide has already been constructed
and now is to the official line and grade in accordance with and where
shown upon the improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections Nos. 1035
and 1036 and in further accordance with Specifications No. 1035-A for
the construction of cement sidewalks in the City of Azusa.
THIRD: That an eight (8) inch storm drain be constructed at
the intersWCTITsn of Angeleno Avenue and Center Street as shown on Plan
No. 1036.

SECTION 2. loptice is hereby given that Trial bonds to re- :Z�
present unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of Seven Q
per cent per malum will be issued hereunder in the manner pro- �
vided by the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of
which bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from the second day of
July next succeeding ten months from their date.
Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with the provisions
of an act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled, "
An act to provide -for the issuance of improvement bonds to represent
and be secured by certain assessments made for the cost of certain
work and improvements made in and upon streets, avenues, lanes, alleys,
courts, places and sidewalks within municipalities, and upon property
and rights of way owned by municipalities, to provide for the collec-
tion of such assessments, the sale of the property affected thereby
and for the payment of the bonds so issued." Approved June 11, 1915
and known as the "Improvement Bond Act of 1915" and all acts supple-
mentary thereto or amendatory thereof.
SECTION 3. Notice is hereby given that it is the intention
of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa to establish, re-
establish and confirm certain grades upon portions of Angeleno Avenue
by Ordinance, said grades shall be in.accordance with the plans and
profiles heretofore adopted for doing said work.
All of said work shall be done in accordance with the plans
and specifications heretofore adopted for doing said work and now on
file in the office of the City Clerk.
Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 17th day of August,
1925, at 7:30 o'clock P. IS., in the council chamber of the Board of
Trustees of said City, any and all persons having any objections to
the proposed work or improvement may appear before said Board and
show cause why said proposed improvement shall not be carried out in
accordance with this Resolution.
The Clerk shall cause this Resolution of Intention to be
published twice in the Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper, published and
circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose by the
Board of Trustees, there being no daily newspaper published in said
City.
The Street Superintendent shall cause to be conspicuously
posted along the line of said contemplated work and Improvement and
along all the open streets within said district above described and
in front of all the property liable to be assessed, notices of the
passage of this Resolution of Intention, in the time, form and manner
required by law.
Except as hereinabove otherwise provided for the issuance of
said serial bonds, all of the herein proposed work shall be done in
pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California,
designated the "Improvement Act of 1911", approved April 7, 1911 and
amendments thereto.

hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly adopted by
the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa and signed by the Presi-
dent of said Board of Trustees at a regular meeting thereof held
on the 20th day of July, 1925, and that the same was adopted by
the following vote, to -wit:
