RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 826 �
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE PORTIONS OF NINTH STREET, IN THE
CITY OF AZUSA AND DETERMINING THAT BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED TO REPRESENT THE
COST THEREOF.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do resolve as
SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience require and
that it is the intention of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa to
order the following work to be done in accordance with the provisions of
an act of the Legislature of the State of California entitled, "AN ACT
TO PROVIDE FOR WORK IN AND UPON STREETS, AVENUES, PLACES AND SIDEWALY.S
WITHIN MUNICIPALITIES" approved April 7, 1911 and known as the "IMPROVEMENT
ACT OF 1911", and all acts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof, to -
wit
FIRST: That a cement curb be constructed along each line of the
roadway of said Ninth Street from a line drawn parallel to and sixteen (16)
feet west of a line drawn across said Ninth Street from the Northwest
corner of Lot 26, of Block 22, to the Southwest corner of Lot 24, Block
11 as per map recorded in Book 15, Page 93, Uiscellaneous Records of Los
Angeles County, to a line drawn parallel to and sixteen (16) feet east of
a line drawn across said Ninth Street from the Southeast corner of Lot 37
of the Orange Grove Tract as recorded in Map Book 12, Page 65 to the North-
east corner of Lot 1 of Block 17 as per map recorded in Book 15, Page 93,
Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, excepting that portion of the
South side of Ninth Street from the Northwest corner of Lot 3 of Block 18,
to the Northeast corner of Lot 1 of Block 17, as recorded in Book 15, Page
93 Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California, except along
such portions of said Ninth Street upon which a cement curb has already
been constructed and now is to the official line and grade in accordance
with and where shown upon the improvement plans, profiles and cross-
sections No. 1030 and in further accordance with :special Specifications
No. 1030 and in further accordance with Special Specifications No. 1030-B
for the construction of cement curbs in the City of Azusa.
SECOND: That a cement sidewalk five (5) feet in width, be con-
strueted along each line of the roadway of said Ninth Street, from a line
drawn parallel to and77

the Southwest corner of Lot 24 of Block 11, as per map recorded in Book
15, Page 93, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County to a line drawn
parallel to and sixteen (16) feet East of a line drawn across said Ninth
Street from the Southeast corner of Lot 37 of the Orange Grove Tract as
recorded in Map Book 12, Page 65, to the Northeast corner of Lot 1 of
Block 17, as per map recorded in Book 15 Page 93, Iuiiscellaneous Records
of Los Angeles County, excepting that portion of the Southside of Ninth
Street from the Northwest corner of Lot 3 of Block 18 to the Northwest
corner of Lot 1 of Block 17 as recorded in Book 15, Page 93, Miscellaneous
Records of Los Angeles County, California, except along such portions of
said Ninth Street upon which a cement sidewalk five (5) feet wide has
already been constructed and now is to the official line and grade, in
accordance with and where shown upon improvement plans, profiles and
crass -sections No. 1030 and in further accordance with special specifica-
tions designated Specifications No. 1030-A; for the construction of cement
sidewalks in the City of Azusa.
SECTION 11. Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent
unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate of Seven (7) percent per
annum will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by the Improvement
Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of which bonds shall mature four-
teen (14) years from the second day of July next succeeding ten months
from their date.
Said bonds shall be issued in accordance with the provisions of an
act of the Legislature of the State of California, entitled, "An Act
to provide for the issuance of improvement bonds to represent and be se-
cured by certain assessments made for the cost of certain work and improve-
ments made in and upon streets, avenues, lanes, alleys, courts, places
and sidewalks within municipalities, and upon property and rights of way
owner by municipalities, to provide for the collection of such assessments,
the sale of the property affected thereby and for the payment of the bonds
so issued." Approved June 11, 1915 and known as the "I,nprovement Bond Act
of 1915" and all acts supplementary thereto or amendatory thereof.
SECTION 111. All improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections
hereinbefore mentioned are hereby made a part of this resolution and re-
ferred to for a more particular description of said work and made a part

27S. All apecioations referred in this ralution are on x
file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Azusa.
All improvement plans, profiles and cross-sections referred
to in this resolution are on file in the office%of the City Engineer of the
City of Azusa.
All streets referred to in this resolution are public streets
in the City of Azusa.
SECTION IV. The Superintendent of Streets of the City of
Azusa shall post notices of said work as required by law, and shall cause
the same to be published once in the Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper pub-
lished and circulated in said City of Azusa and hereby designated for that
purpose.
SECTION V. All objections or protests on the partof the pro-
perty owners to the above improvements should be made in writing to the
Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa and placed on file with the City Clerk
on or before the hour of the day set for the hearing of said protests or
objections by the said Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa, which hearing
shall be the 4th day of May, 1925, at 7:30 P. M. in the Council Chamber of
the City Hall of the City of Azusa at the northeast corner of Center and
Alameda Streets.
SECTION VI. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
of this resolution and shall cause the same to be published by two inser-
tions in the Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper printed, published and circulat-
ed in the City of Azusa and hereby desigrated by the Board of Trustees of
said City of Azusa, for that purpose, and shall post the same conspiciously
for two days on or near the chamber door of the place of meeting of the
Board of Trustees of said City and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
take effect and be in force.
The foregoing resolution was adopted at a regular meeting of
the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa held on the 20 day of April,
1925, by the affirmative vote of at least three trustees of said City,
to -wit:
Ayes: Trustees: Peirce, Moon, Meier, Chenoweth, Case.
Noes: Trustees. None.
Absent: Trustees. None.
