WHEREAS, it appears that at a conference of city officials
held recently at Sacramento, resolutions were adopted favoring the
initiation of a measure which would give the cities one-quarter share
of the motor vehicle and gasoline tax funds; and
,ii;•;REAS, it appears that the present division of these funds
under the law is unfair to the municipalities,
LOW TH;;:iEFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that we favor such a
proposed initiative measure and hereby amree to procure our quota
of the signatures necessary to met it on the ballot.
AND BE IT ZURTHER RESOLVED, that a certified copy of this
desolation be sent to the League of California L:unicipalities,
Chancery ruilding, aan 1'ranci�6co.
The City Clerk is hereby instructed to certi_fy to the pas:.e2'e
