M.159 The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Case, Peirce, Chenoweth, Meier. City Clerk and City Attorney. Absent: None. The minutes of the meeting held March 19th, 1923 were read and approved as read. Mr. Pierce,. The following Ordinance was presented: e� "Aid ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 186 OF SAID CITY ENTITLED: "An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa amending Ordinance No. 178 of saidrim61*�9ri��C 17P' City ent-itled: 'An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees DINANC NO. 220 of the City of Azusa, establishing the rate to be ADOPTED. charged by the City of Azusa for water and water con- nectione,'etc., adopted May 29, 1917, BY AMENDING SECTION 2 of SAID ORDINANCE. It was moved that the Ordinance be declared read for the second time and taken up for its third reading and final passage. It wa moved that Mr. Case be authorized to purchase for the City such Azusa Agricultural Water stock as he may be able to purchase at what he considers a reasonable figure. PEIRCE AUTHOR- IZED TO EMPLOY A MAN TO PATROL THE MOUTH OF THE CANYON DURING THE DRY SEASON. MATTER OF PURCHASING A TEAM OF MULES REFERRED TO A. L. MEIER & WALTER LOVELACE MR. CASE AUTHORIZED TO PURCHASE WATER STOCK. It was moved that the matter of narrowing MATTER OF NARROWING AZUSA Azusa Avenue below Sixth Street be referred AVE. REFERRED TO P. W. to the Public Works Committee for investigation COMMITTEE. and report. It was moved that Mr. Pierce, Water and Light Superintendent be authorized to purchase a tank of acetylene gas.
