HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - May 7, 1923 - CCCITY HALL, AZUSA, CALIFORNIA MAY 7TH, 1923 7:30 P. M. 169 The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa met in regular session at the above time and place. Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce and City Attorney. Absent: City Clerk. On motion duly carried Ella Aguilar was appointed City Clerk pro -tem to act during the meeting in the absence of City Clerk J. 0. Durrell. The minutes of the meeting held April 16th, 1923 were read and approved as read. 'A communication from the Merchants Association of Coronado was read. It was moved that the members of the Board of Trustees and the City Clerk be appointed as delegates to the convention of the League of Municipalities to be held in Coronado on September 10th and that the necessary expenses in such trip be defrayed 'from the City Treasury - Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None. Absent: None. 9,t>a4 ,.,On motion duly carried that the communication from the Railroad Commission of May 5th be referred to Mr. Barker for investigation and report. The Water and Light Superintendent was authorized to purchase the following supplies: 10 5 amp. light meters. 50 4 pin cross arms 100 Cross arm braces 400 Enamel signs "High Voltage" 6 1 inch water meters 20 Concrete meter boxes Tools for both departments not to exceed $16.00, Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Meier, Case, Peirce, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: None. It was moved that the following bills be allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the ss me .
