Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Chenoweth, Peirce, Case, City Attorney, City Clerk. Absent: Trustee: Meier. On motion duly carried the request of G. F. Woodle for permission to a move a frame building through the City was granted on condition that any damage that may be done is to be assumed by Mr. Woodle and the City Clerk is instructed to require a de- posit of $50.00 to cover possible damage. It was moved that the Superintendent of Light & Water be authorized to purchase the following sup- plies: 6 2" fire hydrants 6 87 clamps. 1" outlets 1 sack of cross arm pins 1 keg of through bolts 1 keg of space bolts 'Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Case, Chenoweth, Perice. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Meier. G. F. WOODLE GRANTED PERMISSION TO MOVE FRAME BUILDING THROUGH THE CITY ON CONDITIONS. SUPT. LIGHT & WATER AUTHORIZED TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES. On motion duly carried Mr. Wentworth was author- MR. WENTWORTH AUTHOR- ized to construct a driveway into his premises at IZED TO CONSTRUCT 341 N. It was moved that the Superintendent of Light & Water be authorized to employ an electric lineman to assist in the extra work necessary to make the electric system comply with the state law, such lineman to serve during the pleasure of the Board. Having examined and investigated all bids CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT submitted to the Council of the City of Azusa for the construction and completion of pavement upon that portion of Ninth Street between the West line of Angel- eno Avenue and the East line of Pasadena Avenue in the City of Azusa, California, the City Engineer begs leave to report that in his opinion all bids submitted are too high and that the City of Azusa may more economically perform the construction and completion of the pavement of that portion of Ninth Street between the West line of Angeleno Avenue and the East line of Pasadena Avenue The minutes of the meeting held May 7th, 1923 were read and approved as read. On motion duly carried the request of B. W. Rocker B. W. It was moved that the City Engineer be authorized and instructed to negotiate for the procure all labor and material necessary for the construction and completion of street work upon that portion of Ninth Street between the West line of Angeleno Avenue and the East line of Pasadena Avenue in the City of Azusa, subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees, and that the same be done in accord- ance with the acquisition, construction and comp- letion of certain streets in the City of Azusa and that the cost thereof be charged to the Street Work Bond Fund. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Peirce, Chenoweth, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Trustees: Meier. The following Ordinance was presented: "An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa, amending Section 12 of Ordinance No. 191 of said City entitled: "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA LICENSING AND RE- GULATING CERTAIN KINDS OF BUSINESS CARRIED ON IN SAID CITY2, etc., adopted May 27, 1918, and repeal- ing Ordinance No. 205 and all other Ordinances of CITY ENGINEER AUTHORIZED TO PURCHASE MATERIAL & LABOR FOR STREET WORK ON PORTION OF NINTH STREET. said City in conflict therewith. It was moved that the same be taken up for its second reading. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Case, Chenoweth, Perice. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Meier. The Ordinance was read. On motion duly carried the Ordinance was declared read for the second time and taken up for its third reading and final passage. The Ordinance was read. It• •was moved that the Ordinance be adopted as read. Carried by thefollowing vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, ,•--Case, Chenoweth, Pearce, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Meier. The following Resolution was presented: A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER OF 02000.00 FROM THE LIGHT FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND. The Resolution was read. On motion the Resolution was adopted as read. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon, Case, Peirce, Chenoweth. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee: Meier.
