The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above time and place.
Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Chenoweth,
Peirce, Case, City Clerk and City Attorney. Absent:
Trustee: Meier.
The minutes of the meeting held May 21st, 1923
were read and approved as read.
The application of Frank E. Clayton for permission
to place a sign on City property was referred to the
Public Works Committee to investigate and report.
The application of A. S. Wilson for permission to
construct driveways into Lot 1 Block 40, and to
place a gas tank and pump in the parkway was read;
followed by the reading of a protest against the
granting of such application signed by property own-
ers in the vicinity. On motion duly carried the
entire matter was referred to the zoning committee
appointed at the last regular meeting.

It was moved that the Street Superintendent of Streets ST. SUPT. AUTHORIZED
be authorized to purchase * barrel of wedicator. TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon,
Chenoweth, Peirce, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee:
Meier.
The fo&lowing Resolution was presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA,.CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER
OF $2000.00 FROM THE LIGHT FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND.
The Resolution was read.
It was moved that the Resolution be adopted as read.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees; Moon,
Chenoweth, Peirce, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee:
'Meier.
It was moved that a warrant for $277.00 be drawn in
favor of the Automobile Club of Southern California
for insurance on the Fire Engine.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon,
Chenoweth, Peirce, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Trustees
Meier.
It was moved that the City Engineer be authorized to
proceed with the construction of a concrete bridge
on Sierra Madre Avenue by day labor.
Carried by the Jbllowing vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon,
Chenoweth, Peirce, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee:

It was moved that Fire Chief Hibseh be authorized
to have a bed c®hetructed for the fire truck to hold
small size hose.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon,
Chenoweth, Peirce, Case. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee:
Meier.
It was moved that the following bills be allowed and
warrants ordered drawn upon the Treasury for the
same.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon,
Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee:
Meier.
