HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 603q YLZOV1JU11Vly 14V.VVJ # Nb' •(oo3 >C A RESOLUTION OF TIWOARD OF TRUSTEES OF TIM &Y OF AZUSA,CALIFORNIA=Z)• CALLING A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD III SAID CITY ON THE 12THJiO DAY OF APRIL 1920,GIVING A GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE VOTING PRECINCTS. ° M AND LOCATION OF THE POLLING PLACES.APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICERS THERE- FOR AND DIRECTING NOTICE TO BE GIVEN OF SUCH ELECTION AS REQUIRED BY W*, The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do resolve as folloti+-s•; SECTION 1. That there shall be held in the City of Azusa on Monday the 12th.day of Apri1,1920 a general municipal election by the qualified electors of the City of Azusa for the purpose of electing the following City Officers,to-wit; Two Members of the Board of Trustees for four year terms. _ One Member of the Board of Trustees for two year term. City Clerk and City Treasurer, SECTION 2. ,That the number of voting precincts for the purpose of holding said election shall be'two,and that Precinct No.l shall consist of all that portion of the City of Azusa lying and being northerly of the center line of Centre Street running from the westerly boundary to the easterly boundary of said City of Azusa,said precinct being Azusa City Precinct No.3 established for holding the last general State and County election,and the polling place of said Election Precinct No.l is hereby located at the City Hall on the northeast corner of Centre street and Alameda Avenue in the City of Azusa. And the Board of Election for such Election Precinct No. 1 is hereby appointed as follows; Inspector: Thomas A.Smith Judges: James Rogers Mrs.Alice K.Pettyjohn Clerks: Henry O.,Williams Mrs.Alberta Preston And that Consolidated Election Precinct No.2 shall consist of all that portion of the City of Azusa lying and being southerly from the center line of Centre street extending from the westerly boundary to tk- the easterly boundary of said City of Azusa,said Consolidated Election Precinct No.2 being Azusa Precincts Numbers 1 and 2 of the regular electi on precincts established for holding the last general State and County election,and the polling place for said Consolidated Election Precinct No.2 is hereby located at No.619 North Azusa Avenue between Sixth and Conte streets. And the Board of Election for such Consolidated Election Precinct N0.2 is hereby appointed as follows:; Inspector; Frank L -.Dingman Judges; John S.Collins Mrs.Mary Z.Burt Clerks: William O,.Streshly Miss.Alma G.Gable SECTION 30- That the polls for said election must be opened at 6 o'clock A.M.of the day of the election and must be kept open until rovidedchoPever of the same day when the polls shall be closed;except and p that if at the hour of closing there are any other voters in the polling ho are ableetordonsoisince appearing �9the polls ashall dbe©kept ®open aand ave not n lne at the door sufficient time to enable them to vote.
