A RESOLUTION OF TIFF CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ::ZUSA,
TFMIINATING TYPE TREE PLANTIP'G FxiOJECT INITIATED UNDER THE TREE
PLANTING ACT OF 19152 LAWS OF C I_T,I1'ORNIA, AND VACATING ALL
PROCEEDINGS T;,KEN TINDER SAIL'- ACT, INCLUDIIIG RESOLUTION NO. 1141
AND RESOLUTION NO. 1176, OF TfII? CITY OF AZUSA.
The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve as
follovrs :
WH?;REAS the City Council of the City of Azusa did
initiate a project for planting trees on certain streets in
said City under the Tree Planting; '.ct of 1915, Laws of California,
by the Passage of Resolution No. 1141, entitled:
"A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF r`:ZUSA

way Improvement were duly published and posted as required by law;
and

was duly passed and approved; and
WHEREAS conditions in the City of Azusa have materially
changed since the passage of said resolution in that the prices
of citrus fruits are far below normal and by reason of work on
San Gabriel Dam having ceased, and other projects not having mater-
ialized as contempl^ted; and
ITT;ER$";S it h::s been represented to the City Council of the
City of Azusa, and the City Council being convinced that to proceed
with said project :vould work a hardship on many property owners in
the City of Azusa by reason of said changed conditions,
NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT ''ESOLVED as follows:
I.
That all proceedings to plant trees by the City of i".zusa in
said City of Azusa under said Tree Planting Act, and which proceed-
ings were initiated by said Resolution of Intention No. 1141, be
and the same are hereby TER:.:IN..TED.

II.
That said 13esolution No. 1141 and Resolution No.
1176 be and they are hereby repealed, vacated and declared
to be null and void and of no force and effect.
That the Tax Collector of the City of Azusa he,
and he is hereby ordered and directed to strike from the
tax roll. and tax bills any assessments levied by reason of
the proceedings under Tree PlantingT .ct and under said
Resolution No. 1141 and No. 1-176, and said Tax Collector is
hereby directed and ordered not to collect any assessments as-
sessed under said Tree Planting Proceedings.
Passed and approved this 28th day of October,

hereby certify that the foregoing resolution, being; resolution
No. 1185 was duly adopted by the City Council of said City,
signed by the Mayor of said City Council and attested by the
City Clerk, all at a regular meeting thereof held on the 29th
day of October, 129, and that the same was passed by the
following; vote, to -writ:
AYES: Councilmen: Johnson, Mace, Muehe, Meier.
AiOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman: Demmitt.
