SMITH IN THE WATER AND LIGHT DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, AND FIXING HIS COM- PENSATION. The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows: WHEREAS, it has become necessary to employ V. D. Smith for full time in the Water and Light Department of the City of Azusa; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that V. D. Smith be and he is hereby employed for full time in the Light and Water Department of the City of Azusa beginning with the 1st day of October, 1928, said employment to continue only at the pleasure of the City Council of sgid City; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the compensation of said V. D. Smith be and the same is hereby fixed at One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) per month. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting held September 17, 1928, by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen: Demmitt, Stone, Dilley, Smith.
