HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 11050 0 • 0 • RESOLUTION NO. 1/0.f— A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING THE CITY TREASURER TO RETURN TO TRE LOS ANGELES COUNTY ROAD DEPARTMENT FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS (50,000.00), THE SUM AP- PROPRIATED TO THE CITY OF AZUSA FOR THE IMPROVE- MENT OF FOOTHILL BOULEVARD IN SAID CITY. The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows: WHEREAS the County Commissioners of Los Angeles County, California, on or about the 27th day of March, 1928, did deposit with the City Treasurer of the City of Azusa the sum of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) to be used for the improvement of Foothill Boulevard in the City of Azusa, under the improvements provided for by Resolution of Intention No. 1070, and WHEREAS the work under said resolution has been by the City of Azusa, abandoned and, WHEREAS the County Commissioners of said County, through George W. Jones, Road Commission- er, on or about June 13, 1928, demanded the re- turn of said moneys to Los Angeles County, for the reason that the law will not permit said moneys to be used in any improvement other than that describ- ed in the original resolution of intention. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Azusa that said sum of money, to -wit: Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00) be returned, to the said Los Angeles County and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Treasurer be, and he is hereby ordered and direct- ed to return and transmit said moneys to said Los Angeles County and take the proper receipt and voucher therefor. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolu- tion was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting held June 18, 19289 by the following vote of the Council: AYES: Councilmen NOES: None.
