A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA DECLARING THE OLD CITY HALL BRICK BUILDING TO BE PER-
SONAL PROPERTY AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE
FOR BIDS FOR THE REMOVAL OF SAP,.
The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS the City Hall of the City of Azusa
now under construction will be completed and ready for oc-
cupancy, by the several departments of the City, within a
short time and,
WHEREAS the old City Hall brick building, locat-
ed on Lots 12-13 and 14 in Block 30, City of Azusa has been
heretofore condemned as unsafe for occupancy and unsafe to
the public and,
WHEREAS said City Hall brick building is of no
further use to the City and must therefore be removed,
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council
of the City of Azusa, in the County of Los Angeles, State
of California, in regular meeting assembled, that the said
old City Hall brick building be and the same is hereby de-
clared to be personal property,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is
hereby directed to publish notice for sealed bids for the
sale and purchase of said building, the purchaser to tear
down and remove said building from the City property within
sixty (60) days from the date of the acceptance of his bid
and to remove all debris and dirt £rom.,and to put the place
where said building stands in a clean condition without
cost to the City of Azusa, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the purchaser must
furnish Bond satisfactory to the City Council of said City
to hold the City of Azusa harmless and free from all damage
resulting to property or persons by reason of., and during,
the removal of said building.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa
at a regular meeting held February 6, 19289 by the follow-
ing vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Howard, Martin, Meier, Chenoweth,
Durrell.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
