IN THE MATTER OF ACQUISITION AND IlPROPELENT DISTRICT NO. 9 OF THE CITY OF AZUSA RESOLU^t ION NO. /a ,�L 4' A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA BEING AN ORDER DIRECTING PREPARATION OF SPECIFICATION'S FOR THE IMPROVEIWT OF AZUSA AVENUE IN SAID CITY PhiEREAS, The public interest and necessity require the improvements hereinafter set forth; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, That C. L. Nichols, a public office;, to -wit, the City Engineer of the City of Azusa, is hereby appointed and des - ignited and directed to prepare and furnish SPECIFICATIONS for the proposed ac- quisition and improvement of Azusa Avenue as hereinafter described, said SPEC- IFICATIONS to include descriptions of all property to be acquired, together • with a map or plat showing the same, and all plans, profiles, cross-sections and specifications necessary for the improvement, together with a statement of the estimated cost of the same (inclusive of incidental expenses and costs of the proceeding), and also a description of the proposed district to be benefited • by said acquisition and improvement and to be known as the "Assessment District," and a map or plat showing the same, together with the different zones within said district and a statement as to what percentage shall be raised from each zone; the said district to be known as "Acquisition and Improvement District No.* of the City of Azusa". Said improvements include the following: The construction of concrete pavement forty-eight feet in width upon said Avenue between the south line of said Avenue between the north line of Fourth Street and the north line of Broad- way except where curbs and gutters are now existing in good condition. The reconstruction of cement sidewalks between the south line of Foflbth Street and north line of First Street. The construction of a reinforced concrete bridge upon said Avenue across the little Dalton wash together with necessary drainage culverts, walls, approaches, safety devices and other necessary appurtenances to said bridge. Fourth Street and the north line of Broadway. r The construction or reconstruction of cement curbs and gutters upon said Avenue between the north line of Fourth Street and the north line of Broad- way except where curbs and gutters are now existing in good condition. The reconstruction of cement sidewalks between the south line of Foflbth Street and north line of First Street. The construction of a reinforced concrete bridge upon said Avenue across the little Dalton wash together with necessary drainage culverts, walls, approaches, safety devices and other necessary appurtenances to said bridge. 'ie • 0 W The construction or installation of water pipe or mains along or across said Avenue where necessary to supplement or extend the municipal water system. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was • duly adopted by the city council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting held October 17, 1927 by the following vote of the Council: YES: Councilmen: Howard, Martin, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell NOES: None. r, ABSENT: None.
