RESOLUTION NO. 1036
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA ACCEPTING DEED TO LOT 26 -AND ONE-HALF OF VACATED
ALLEY ADJOINING ON THE EAST OF SAID LOT ALL IN BLOCK 30,
AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY
AND THE CITY CLERK THEREOF TO DRAW WARRANTS FOR THE BAL-
ANCE OF THE PURCHASE PRICE OF SAID LOT.
/ \ The City Council of the City of Azusa do
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa voted and sold
$75,000.00 of City Hall Bonds, not to exceed $25,000.00
of which is authorized to be expended for the purchase
of necessary lands;
WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City of
Azusa to purchase the hereinafter described lot from
the hereinafter named persons at the pruchase price
hereinafter set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City
of Azusa, subject to the hereinafter named conditions
accept a grant deed from Dorothy Daniels Van Der Leek,
formerly known as Dorothy Daniels and Sarah Paine Daniels
• Abbott, formerly known as Sarah Paine Danielb to lot
Twenty-six (26), in Block Thirty (30) of the City of
Azusa, and half vacated alley adjoining on the East; re-
corded in Book 15, Page 93 of Miscellaneous Records in
the office of the County Recorder of Los Angeles County,
California; said deed being accepted when and upon the
condition that when said deed is recorded,title to said
respective lot will appear in the name of said City of
Azusa and upon the further condition that a guarantee
• certificate of title of some reputable and responsible
title insurance company of Los Angeles, showing title to
said lot to be thus vested in said city;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of
said city and the City Clerk thereof be and they are
hereby authorized to draw a warrant for the sum of Five
Hundred and Seventy Dollars ($570.00) on the City Hall
Bond Fund, 1927, payable to and deliver the same to said
Dorothy Daniels Van Der Leek and Sarah Paine Daniels
Abbott when title shall appear as hereinabove required,
five dollars ($5.00) of the purchase price having been
heretofore paid;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the action of
the City Clerk in making the said partial payments on the
• said lot as hereinabove described be and the same is here-
by retified, approved and confirmed.
BE IT FURTHER:RESOLVED that the Mayor of said
City and the City Clerk thereof be and they are hereby
authorized to draw the warrant or warrants of the City on
the said City Hall Bond Fund, 1927, for the payment to the
new ownership and recording fees for said lot and deed res-
pectively.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa
at a regular adjourned meeting held September 26, 19270 by
the following vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Martin, Meier, Chenoweth, Durrell.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman: Howard.
