RESOLUTION NO. /v 2 S—
A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING CERTAIN
WORK TO BE DONE ON PORTIONS OF SANTA FE, DALTON, AND ALAMEDA ASS Aja
SIXTH STREET IN THE CITY OF AZUSA AND DETERMINING TEST BONDS SHALL BE ISSUED
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Azusa did on the let. day
of August, 19270 pass its Resolution of Intention No. 1011 to order the here-
inafter described work to be.done and improvement to be made in said City
which Resolution of Intention was duly and legally published as required by law,
as now appears from the affidavit of William N. Barnard now on file in the
office of the clerk of said City; and whereas, notices of the passage of said
Resolution of Intention No. 1011 headed "Notice of Improvement" were duly and
legally posted along the line of said contemplated work and improvement and in
front of all the property liable to be assessed therefor, and onand along each
• and every open street and highway in the assessment district described in said
Resolution of Intention, in time, forz4 manner and number as required by
I=, after the passage of said Resolution of Intention, as appears from the
affidavit of Arthur Wolfe, who personally posted the same, and who', upon the
completion of the posting of said notices, forthNith filed said affidavit in the
• office of the clerk, making oath that he completed the posting of said notices
on the 10th, day of August, 1927; and whereas, all protests or objections
presented have been heard and disposed of in rime, form, and manner as required
by law, and said City Council having now acquired jurisdiction to order the
proposed improvement, it is hereby
RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience require the work
herein deac#ibed and the City Council of the Oity of Azusa hereby orders the
following work to be done and improvement to be mane in said City, to -wit:
That Ferronite cast iron Lighting posts shall be constructed upon
portions of Alameda Avenue, Santa Fe Avenue, Dalton Avenue, and Sixth Street, as
described in said Resolution of Intention No1011, and in accordance with the
plans and specifications designated therein; reference to said Resolution of
Intention is hereby made for further particulars
The City Clerk is hereby instructed to post a notice of said work,
together with the plans and specifications therefor, conspicuously for five days
on or near the council chamber door, of said Coundil inviting sealed proposals
or bids for doing the wo rk ordered. Said clerk is also directed to publish
twice, a notice inviting usch proposals, and referring to the specifications
posted or on file, in the Pomotropic, a weekly newspaper published and circulated
in said City and hereby designated for that purpose.
All proposals or bids shallbe accompanied by a check payable to the
City of Azusa certified by a responsible bank for an amount which shall not be
less than ten percent of the aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for the
• said amount and so payable, signed by the bidder and two sureties, who shall
justify, before any officer competent to administer an oath, in double the said
amount, and over and above all statutory exemptions.
Said sealed proposals or bids shall be delivered to the City Clerk
of the Council of said City, on or before 7:30 o'clock P. M., onthe
Btxth Wday of September, 1927, said time being not less than ten days from the
time of the first posting and publication of the notice of said work and invit-
ing sealed proposals, on which day and hour all proposals or bids will be pub-
licly opened by said Council.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa, at a regular
adjourned meeting thereof held August 229 1927, by the following vote of
the Council, to -wit:
