RESOLUTION NO. 1012
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK THEREOF TO PUBLISH
NOTICE INVITING SEALED BIDS .FOR THE FURNISHING, ERECTING,
COI.4PLETING AND EQUIPPING OF A NEW CITY HALL IN THE CITY OF
AZUSA, CALIFORNIA.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa do
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa has heretofore
-voted and sold $75,000 of bonds for the purpose of construct-
ing a city hall and purchasing ground therefor and it is now
desirable to invite sealed bids for the furnishing, erect-
ing,.completing and equipping of such city hall;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City
Clerk of the City of Azusa be and he is hereby authorized
to advertise for.sealed bids for the furnishing, erecting,
completing and equipping of a new city hall in the Cit;
of Azusa, California, in accordance with plans.and specifi-
cations therefor referred to in the hereinafter contained
notice, by publishing the said notice in two regular issues
of the "Pomotropic", which notice shall read as follows:

NOTICE INVITING SEALED BIDS
Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk
o3 the City of Azusa for said city up to and including
• the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. on Monday, the 8th day of
August, 1927, for the,furnishing, erecting, completing and
equipping of anew city hall in the City of Azusa, Cali-
fornia, in accordance with plans and specifications there-
for on file in the office of the City Clerk of said.city,
in the City of Azusa, and in the office of Richard M.
Bates, Jr., the architect, at 660 South Vermont Avenue,
Los Angeles, California.
Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's
check of some responsible bank in the United States of
America for an amount equal to five per cent. (5%) of
the bid, drawn to the order of the Clerk of the City of
Azusa,: as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a
contract to furnish, erect and complete all of the work
and equipment included in the said plans and specifications.
. Bids will be received for the furnishing,
erecting and completing of all of the said work and
equipment as a whole or in segregated form
The Board of Trustees of said City reserves the
right to reject any and all bids.
The successful bidder will be required to
enter into a contract with said city for the doing of
• all the foregoing.in accordance with said plans and
specifications and will be required to furnish a bond
of fifty per cent. (50%) of the contract price, guarantee-
ing performance of the contract, and an additional bond,
for fifty per cent. (50%) of said contract price to
guarantee. and secure the payment of and for labor and
materials.

BE IT FURTH a RESOLVED that at the hour of
8:00 o'clock P. M. on the said 8th day of August, 1927,
the Board of Trustees of the said City shall open all
sealed bids received in response to and in accordance
with said notice and that at said meeting to be held
on said date or at any adjourned meeting thereof, a
contract or contracts for the furnishing, erecting, and
completing the said work and equipment shall be awarded
to the lowest responsible bidder.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution
was duly adopted by the Board of Trustees of the City.
