BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF AZUSA ORDERING CERTAIN 7103K TO BE DONE ON A PORTION OF SUNSET AVEITUE AS DESCRIBED IIN RESOLUTION OF INTENTION 140. 949. MLREAS the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa did on the 7th day of February, 1927, pass its Resolution of Intention No. 949 to order the hereinafter described work to be done and improvement to be made in said City which Resolu- tion of Intention was duly and legally published as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of C. 0. Broxon now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City; and where- as, notices of the passage of said Resolution of Intention No. 949 headed "Notice of Improvement" were duly and legally posted along the line of said contemplated work and improve- ment and in front of all the property liable to be assessed therefor, and on and along each and every open street and highway in the assessment district described in said Resolu- tion of Intention, in time, form, manner and number as re- i quired by law, after the passage of said Resolution of Inten- tion, as appears from the affidavit of Arthur Wolfe, Street Superintendent who personally posted the same, and who upon the completion of the posting of said notices, forthwith filed said affidavit in the office of the City Clerk, making oath that he completed the posting of said notices on the 17th day of February, 1927; and whereas, all protests or objections presented have been heard and disposed of in time, form and manner as required by law, and said Board of Trustees having now acquired jurisdiction to order the proposed improvement, it is hereby RESOLVED, that the public interest and convenience require the work herein described and the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa hereby orders the following work to be done and improvement to be made in said City, to -wit: -1- The improvement of portions of Sunset Avenue by the construction of cement sidewalks and curbs.as described in Resolution of Intention No. 949, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars. The City Clerk is hereby instructed to post a notice of said work, together with the plans and specifications therefor, conspicuously for five days on or near the council chamber door, of said Board inviting sealed proposals or bids for doing the work ordered. Said Clerk is also • directed to publish twice, a notice inviting such proposals, and re- ferring to the specifications posted or on file, in the Azusa Journal a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City and hereby designated for that purpose. All proposals or bids shall be accompanied by a check payable to the City of Azusa certified by a responsible bank for an amount which shall not be less than ten.per:cent of the aggregate of the proposal, or by a bond for the said.amount and so payable, signed by the bidder • and two sureties, who shall justify, before any officer competent to administer an oath, in double the said amount, and over and above all statutory exemptions. Said sealed proposals or bids'shall be delivered to the ex -of- ficio clerk of the Board of Trustees of said City, on or before 7:30 o'clock P. M., on Monday the 21st day of 11arch, 1927, said time be- ing not less than ten days from the time of the first posting and publication of the notice of said work and inviting sealed proposals, on which day and hour all proposals or bids will be publicly opened by said Board of Trustees.
