HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1235RESOLUTION NO. , .3.5-- A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA DECLARING THE OFFICE OF CITY PARK SUPERINTENDENT AND BUILDING INSPECTOR VACANT. The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows: WHEREAS, at the request of the Common Council of the City of Azusa, an expert budget of income and expendi- tures has been prepared for the City for the current year; and WHEREAS, the income of said City is not sufficient to meet the expenses of the City as shown by said budget unless such expenses are considerably curtailed and decreas- ed; and WHERE,AS, it is essential to the welfare of the City and tax payers that the expenses be curtailed and kept within the limits of the budget; and 7MREAS, it is necessary in order to stay within the said budget to dispense with the services of some of the present employees; and WHEREAS, the Common Council is of the opinion that the services of Park Superintendent and Building Inspector can be readily dispensed with; TITFREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Common Council of the City of Azusa that the position of Park Superinten- dent and Building Inspector be and the same is declared vacant as of October 1, 1930; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council here- by express it's regrets to Mr. Kauffey at the necessity of declaring said position vacant and assures him that the City Council has appreciated the efficient service by him rendered to the City in the past. I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting held September 15, 1930, by the following vote of the Council, to -wit: AYES: Councilmen: Mace, Williams, Muehe, Meier.
