BERK FILE TO THE FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF 7 MONTEREY PARK. 9 TheCityCity Council of the City of Azusa do resolve as fello„rs: 10 WHEREAS, under and by virtue of Resolution No. it 947 of the City of Azusa, approved Januzry 19th, 1927, and Res- 12 olution No. 1037 of the City of Azusa approved September 26, 13 1927, there will be duo to Thomas A. Berkebile certain moneys, 14 provided any part or the whole of Thirty Thousand (130,000100) 15 Dollars shall be paid to the City of Azusa by the Bank of Aneri- 18 ca, Paramount Motors Corporation of the Pacific, F. S. Lack, 17 L. W. Coffee, or others, by reason of a certain settlement rola= 18 tiva to Paramount Heights, in which said parties were interested 19 AND X EREAS, the said Thomas A. Berhebile, under 20 his agreement ti:ith the City, is entitled to a certain percentage 21 of any moneys so paid to said City if and when the same is paid; 22 AND WHEREAS# the said Thomas A. Berkebile has 23 assigned his contingent claim against the City to First National 24 Ban:: of i;'or_terey Park; 26 AND WHEREAS, said First National Bark of Monterey 26 Park has requested that said City accept the Assi„ nment of said 27 claim to -it; 28 AP:D rHEREAS, the City of Azusa is I:;illing to ac - 29 cent the said Assignment on condition_ only that it is to pay it 30 if and when the same would become due and payable in the hands 31 of said Thomas A.
