RESCLUTION NO.1?13
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUS
DECLARING THE INTENTION OF SAID CITY TO SELL CERTAIN REAL ESTATE
AND DIRECTING THE CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS THEREFOR AND FIX-
ING THE DATE WHEN BILE WILL BE OPENED.
The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve as
follows:
WHEREAS, the City of Azusa is the owner of approxim-
ately 2.33 Reres of land, located a short distance North of said
City and which premises are hereinafter more particularly des-
cribed;
AND WHEREAS, said City of Azusa is the owner of por-
tions of Lots 28 and 29, in Block 29, Map of Azusa, as recorded
in Book 15, Page 93, at seq., records of Los Angeles County,
California, which portions of said Lots are hereinafter more
particularly described;
AND WHEREAS, said Lots and said tract, and particu-
larly said Tract, are, and for a long time have been, an expense
to the City, over and above any revenue received therefrom;
AND WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Council that 1
is for the best interest of the City that said Tract and Lots be
sold;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of
the City of Azusa thatthe City Clerk of the City of Azusa, be,
and is hereby authorizedto"publish Notice of Sale of the pre-
mises hereinafter descrAed, and to call for bids therefor at
private sale, said bids to be in writing and left in the office
of the City Clerk at any time after publication of this Notice
and not later than :c o o'clock P. M. of Monday, June �, � ,
1930e
That the conditions of said sale and notice are as
follows: Cash in lawful money of the United States: Certifie,
Check for ten percent of the amount of each bid must accompany
each bid; same to be returned if bid is rejected, but subject to
forfeiture by said City if the bid is accepted and the sale not
completed because of any act or default of the bidder; Separate
bids to be called for for the tracts hereinafter described.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council reserve
the right to reject any and all bids and that the Deed to the
purchaser is to be delivered only after Ordinance providing ther -
for has been duly enacted.
The description of said lands are as follows:
"That certain piece or parcel of land being parts of
"lots 28 and 29, Block 290 having a frontage of 42.081
"on Azusa Avenue and a depth of 751, described as fol-
lows: All that certain piece or parcel of land being
"a portion of Lots 28 and 29, Block 29, of Map of Azusa,
"as recorded in Miscellaneous Records, Book 15, Pages 93
to 96, both inclusive.. Records of Los Angeles County,
"California, described as follows: Beginning at the

"Southwest corner of said Lot 28; thence northerly along
"the Westerly lines of the aforesaid Lots 28 and 29, a
"distance of 42.08,feet, to a point; thence easterly along
"a line, which line is 17.08 feet northerly of and para-
llel with the southerly line of the aforesaid Lot 29, a
"distance of 75 feet to a print; thence southerly along a
"line, which line is 75 feet easterly of and parallel with
"the westerly lines of the aforesaid Lots 26 and 29, a dis-
tance of 42.08 feet to a point in the southerly line of
°the aforesaid Lot 28; thence westerly along the southerly
"line of the aforesaid Lot 28, a distance of 75 feet, to
"the place of beginning.
Also that certain piece or parcel of land described
as follows:
"Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 762 of Subdi-
vision No. 2 Azusa Land and ['dater Company, in the County
"of Los Angeles, State of California, as per map recorded
"in Book 430 Page 94, Miscellaneous Records of said County,
"thence North 401 feet, thence East 132 feet, thence South
360 511 East 280.08 feet, thence south 176.88 feet, to the
"southwest corner of Lot 78 of said Subdivision, thence
"west 299.97 feet to the point of beginning, containing
"2.33 Acres, more or less.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa
at a regular meeting held on May 19th, 19300 by the following vote
of the Council:
