LOCATION OF ThE P`)LLING PLACE"., APPOINTING THE ELECTION
OFFICERS TILLEREFORE r'_ND DIRECTING NOTICE TO BE GIVER' OF SUCH
ELECTION AS REQUPRED BY LAIN.
The City Council of the City of Azusa do resolve
as follows:
SECTION *1. That there shall be held in the City
of Azusa on Monday, the 14th day of April, 1930, a general
municipal election by the qualified electors of the said
City of Azusa, for the purpose of electing the following
city officers, to -wit:
Two members of the City Council for two
(2) year term.
Three members of the City Council for
four (4) year term.
One City Clerk for two (2) years, to fill
an unexpired term.
SECTION 2: That the number of voting precincts for
the purpose of holding said election shall be one (1), to be
knovm as Consolidated Election Precinct "A", and said
Consolidated Election Precinct "A" shall consist of the
entire City of Azusa, being Azusa City Precincts Numbers
10 2, 3, 4 and 5 of the regular State and County election,
and the polling place for said Consolidated Election
Precinct "A", is hereby located in the Auditorium of the
New City Hall on Block 30, in said Cit,, of Azusa, California
bet-een Alameda Avenue and Dalton Avenue.
That the Board of Election for such Consolidated
Election Precinct "A", is hereby appointed as follows:
Inspector: Maurice Jones, Sr.
Judges: Roy S. Me Intire
Wilber C. Braley
Clerks: 'William 0. Streshly
Mrs. Pularie L. Pettyjohn
SECTION 3. That the polls of said election must
be opened at six o'clock A. M. of the same day of the election
and must be kept open until seven o'clock P. M. of the same
day -Then the po'_ls shall be closed; except end provided,
however, that if, at the hour of closing there are any other
voters in the polling place or in line at the door 1 -ho are
qualified to vote and have not been able to do so since
their appearing, the polls, shall be kept open a sufficient
time to enable them to vote.
That the above named persons on said Bo: -rd of
Election ;re hereby appointed to such offices respectively
and their compensation shall be Ten ($10.00) Dollars, each,
for all .services.
SECTION 4. That notice of said election and list
of nominees shall be published by the City Clerk as required
by law. I ,
SECTION 5. That the City Clerk shall certify to
the passage of this Resolution and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
I hereby certify that thy, foregoing Resolution
was duly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa
at a regular meeting held February 17, 1930, by the follow-
ing vote of the Council:
AYES: Councilmen: Johnson, Ilace Muehe, TJteier.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Councilman: Demmitt.
