A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUiiCIL OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA ORDERING THE IrPROVEkEidT OF CERTAIN
PORTIONS OF ORANGE AVENUE AND CERTAIN OTHER
STREETS AND AVENUES WITHIN SAID CITY.

The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
SECTION I
That the public interest and convenience require the work
hereinafter described to be done and.therefore the said City Council
hereby orders the.following work to be done and improvement to be
made in said City, to -wit:
All of the work and improvement proposed by and described
in Resolution of Intention No. 1192, passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Azusa on the 9th day of December, 1929, as
follows: That portion of Orange Avenue lying between the westerly
line of said Orange Avenue and a line twenty-one (21) feet easterly
of and parallel with said westerly line of Orange Avenue, and extend-
ing from the southerly line of Sixth Street to the northerly line of
Fifth Street; that portion of orange Avenue lying between the easterly
line of said orange Avenue and a line twenty-one (21) feet westerly
of and parallel with said easterly line of Orange Avenue and extending
from the southerly line of Sixth Street to the northerly line of
Fifth Street; that portion of Sixth.`Street lying between the southerly
line of said Sixth Street and a line seventeen (17) feet northerly of
and parallel with the said southerly line,of Sixth Street, and extend-
ing from a line twenty-one (21) feet westerly of and parallel with
the easterly line of Orange Avenue to a line seventy-five (75) feet
easterly of and parallel with the easterly line of said Orange
Avenue; that Lemon Avenue lying between the westerly line of said

parallel with said westerly line of Lemon Avenue, and extending
from the northerly line of Fifth Street to a line 375 feet northerly
of and parallel with the said northerly line of Fifth Street; that
portion of Lemon Avenue lying between the easterly line of said
Lemon Avenue and a line seventeen (17) feet westerly of and parallel
with said easterly line of Lemon Avenue, and extending from the
northerly line of Fifth Street to a line 288 feet northerly of and
parallel with the northerly line of said Fifth Street; that portion
of Louise Avenue lying between the westerly line of said Louise
Avenue and a line Seventeen (17) feet easterly of and parallel with
the westerly line of said Louise Avenue and extending from the
northerly line of Sixth Street to a line 452.98 feet northerly of
and parallel.mith the northerly line of said Sixth Street, and that
portion of Louise Avenue lying between the easterly line of said
Louise Avenue and a line seventeen (17) feet westerly of and
parallel with said easterly line of Louise Avenue and extending
from the northerly line of Sixth Street to the southeasterly line
of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa .Fe Railroad Company's right-of-
way, be improved by certain grading, by the construction of certain
cement concrete curb, cement concrete sidewalk and cement concrete
driveways. Said work is more fully and more particularly described
in the aforesaid Resolution of Intention on file in the office
of the City Clerk of said City of Azusa. For further particulars
and for the full description of the said work, reference is hereby
made to the said Resolution of Intention for the said work, and to
the plans, profiles, cross-sections, detail drawings and specifica-
tions therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk of the said

Lemon Avenue and
a line seventeen
(17) feet
easterly of and
parallel with said westerly line of Lemon Avenue, and extending
from the northerly line of Fifth Street to a line 375 feet northerly
of and parallel with the said northerly line of Fifth Street; that
portion of Lemon Avenue lying between the easterly line of said
Lemon Avenue and a line seventeen (17) feet westerly of and parallel
with said easterly line of Lemon Avenue, and extending from the
northerly line of Fifth Street to a line 288 feet northerly of and
parallel with the northerly line of said Fifth Street; that portion
of Louise Avenue lying between the westerly line of said Louise
Avenue and a line Seventeen (17) feet easterly of and parallel with
the westerly line of said Louise Avenue and extending from the
northerly line of Sixth Street to a line 452.98 feet northerly of
and parallel.mith the northerly line of said Sixth Street, and that
portion of Louise Avenue lying between the easterly line of said
Louise Avenue and a line seventeen (17) feet westerly of and
parallel with said easterly line of Louise Avenue and extending
from the northerly line of Sixth Street to the southeasterly line

City of Azusa, all of which are referred to in the said Resolution
of Intention, and all of which are incorporated herein and made a
part hereof and reference thereto is hereby made for the full and
particular description.of the said work.
SECTION II
The said City Council.also determined and declared that
serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest at the
rate of seven (7) per cent per annum will be issued hereunder in
the manner provided by the improvement Bond Act of 1915, the last
installment of which bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years from
the 2nd day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date.
For a particuls.r.description of said bonds, reference is hereby
made to said Resolution of Intention.
SECTION III
The said City Council also determined and declared that
the contemplated work and improvement hereinbefore mentioned was,
in the opinion of the said Council, of more than local or ordinary
public benefit and the expense of said work and improvement has
been made chargeable upon a district. For a.particular description
of said district, reference is hereby made to said Resolution of
Intention.
SECTION IV.
That sealed bids for said work shall be received up to
7;00 o'clock, P.1:7.. of the 3rd day of February, 1930, at which time
said bids will be publicly opened, examined and declared by this
Council.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice
inviting sealed bids for said work, conspicuously, for five (5)

days, on or near the Council Chamber door of this Council and to
publish a like notice referring to the specifications on file
twice in the Azusa Herald, a weekly newspaper printed, published
and circulated in said City and 'hereby designated for that purpose
(there being no daily newspaper published in said City).
Passed by the City Council of the City of Azusa this
