Present at roll call. Trustees: I,:oon, i.:eier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce, City Clerk and City i>ttorney. Absent: None. The minutes of the meetings field ..ovember 19th and 26th were read and approved as read. It was moved that the action of the !?resident of the Board of Trustees and the City Clerk in executing and delivering the contract between. the Union Rock 'Company and the City of nzusa which contract was a modification of the land lease of 160 acres is hereby ratified and approved. Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: ioon, i:eier, Case, Cheno::eth, Peirce. Noes: None..ibsent: None. It was moved that a tax refund of 44.68 be made to John T. Beaty upon the filing by the said John T. Beaty of an affidavit sho�,zng that the automobile upon which tax ti^1as levied was not owned by him on the first Monday in :.larch, 1923. P.I. 253 It was moved and ce.rried that the City Engineer be instructed to request on behalf of the Board of Trustees, of the heirs of J. S. Slauson the dedication for street purposes of a sufficient amount of land to hermit the opening of Fifth Street from its present western terminus at the easterly line of Lot 53 of Subdivision L'o. 2 Azusa Land & 'eater Company to the westerly line of said Lots 53 and in addition thereto sufficient land to permit said Fifth Street so extended to connect on the South with the news streets and alleys in Tract 7625. ( A HESOLU'TION OF APi'?EXJIAT 1011. ) The Board of rustees� of the City of Azusa do resolve as follows: :ESOLUTION NO. 751 THAT WHERi.AS, the los Angeles County Board OF APPR .CIATIO14. of Supervisors through its Board of Flood Control Engineers has done excellent work in its operations in in the San Gabriel i?iver wash near the City of Azusa; and, ,JHEREAS, James Reagan, as Chief Engineer has seen fit to give this excellent work his efficient attention and in the opinion of the Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa, should be highly commended there- for. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLED that :this Board do now express its keen appreciation of this ;:pork and that copies of this :resolution be sent to said Board of Supervisors and said James Reagan.
