HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1568RESOLUTION NO. /Slo A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, EMPLOYING A LIFE GUARD FOR THE SLOUSON MEMORIAL PLUNGE, DEFINING HIS EMPLOYMENT AND FIXING HIS SALARY. The City Council.of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: BE IT RESOLVED that Charles B. Forbes be and the same is hereby appointed and assigned to the rank of Life Guard for the Slouson Memorial Plunge at a salary of $65.00 per month effective as of June 16, 1936. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms of employment and compensation of the foregoing shall be, and are, subject to further action of Council at any time, and that he shall hold such employment at the pleasure of said Council. Upon the termination of any employment nereunder whether by reason of death, action of the Council in declaring the position vacant, or de- claring the termination thereof, or by any reason what - so ever whether herein specifically mentioned or not, said employee shall be paid to the date of such termination only and not for any unexpired portion of the then calendar month, such payment for that month to be in that proportion of the employee's monthly compensation as the number of days which the employee has served in that month bears to thirty days. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerlk shall attest same and certify to the passage and adoption thereof.
