BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Azusa,thet
Paul E. Kressly, City Engineer of the City of Azusa, is hereby au-
thorized and empowered to sign and file on behalf of the City of

RESOLUTION NO.1529
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, TRANSFERRING
THE SUM OF FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5000) FROM THE LIGHT
FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does
resolve as follows:
BE IT RESOLVED that the sum of Five Thousand
Dollars be and the same is hereby tranferred from the
Light Fund to the General Fund.
Passed,adopted and approved this 7th day of
June, 1937.

RESOLUTION NO. A5 yr
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA REJECTING ALL BIDS OR PROPOSALS SUBMITTED
IN THE MATTER OF FURNISHING AND INSTALLING ELEC-
TRICAL MOTOR, TURBINE PUMP, AND OTHER APPURTENANCES
AT WELL NO. 3 OF THE WATER DEPARTMENT OF SAID CITY
AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SAND; IN THE OPEN
MARIET.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS, at the meeting of the City Council of the City
of Azusa held on the 24th day of May, 1937, bids or proposals
were submitted by various bidders for furnishing and installing
electrical motor, deep well turbine pump, standard pipe suction
with standard strainer, standard column pipe with shaft and tubing,
electric motor starting panel, 1/4" diameter brass pipe air line
with necessary fittings and gauge, together with other appurten-
ances thereto in response to an advertisement calling for bids or
proposals; and
WHEREAS. all of said bids or proposals were publicly
opened and declared;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that after receiving the
report of Mr. Jack Pierce, Superintendent of Water Department and
Paul E. Kressly, Consulting Engineer to whom the bids were referred
for analysis and report, and after having given due consideration
to said report and bids.received, it is the opinion of this City
Council that it is to the best interests of said City to reject
all bids or proposals submitted, and the City Council does hereby
reject all of said bids submitted and the City Clerk is hereby
instructed and authorized to return the certified or cashier's
checks which were submitted and attached to the proposals to the
respective bidders; and
