The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
met in regular seesion at the above time and
place.
Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Meier,
Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. City ::ttorney and City
C1 erk. "
The minutes of the reFular meeting held Jan.
21st, 1924 and of the regular adjourned meeting
held January 28th, 1924 were read and approved
as read.
The following Ordinance was presented.
Ai ORDINANCE CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION `T'0 BE
HELD IN THE CI`T'Y OF AZUSA, COUNTY Or LOS ANGELES,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA, ON THE 2510H DAY Oil PEBRUARY,
1924, AND SUBIUITTING TO THE. QUALIFIED VOTERS OF
SAID CITY THE PROPOSITION OF INCURRING A BOIdDED
DEBT IN THE SUM OF FII`7i,� THOUSAND (�50, 000.00 )
DOLLARS FOR THE ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION AND
COMPLETION BY THE SAID CI`T'Y OF "ZUSA Or THE
FOLLOWING IuIUNICIPAL INPROVE1viENTS TO -WIT: THE
ACQUISITION, CONSTRUCTION, AND C&PLETION OF
STREET WORK UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA,, SPECIFICALLY, PORTIONS OF FIRST STREET,
FOURTH STREET, FIFTH STREET, CENTRE STREET;
AZUSA AVENUE, CERIIIT06 AVENUE AILD ANGELENO AVEIJUE,
AS WELL AS ALL OF :;ECOND STREET, THIRD STREET,
EIGHTH STREET, NINTH STREET, ELEVENTH STREET AND
CRESCENT DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUE OF BONDS;
DESIGNATING 'TIE ELECTION PRECINCT AND POLLING
PLACE, AND APPOINTING THE ELECTION OFFICERS FOR
SAID ELECTION.
The Ordinance was read.
On motion the Ordinance was declared Pead for the
first time and laid over to next meeting.

The following Ordinance was presented:

OF BARBARA AVEIIUE, LIMN ;.VENUE ORANGE AVENUE,
AND LOUISE AVENUE, IN THE CITY OE' AZUSA, CALIFORNNIA•
It was moved that the same be taken up for its
second reading.
Carried by the following vote; Ayes: Trustees;
Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
The Ordinance was read.
On motion du&y carried the Ordinance was declared
read for the second time and taken up fdr its
third reading and final passage.
The Ordinance was read.
It was moved that the Ordinance be adopted as read.

journ it adjourn to February= 11, 1924 at 7:30 P.M. 1924.
It was moved that the City assume the last seven
(7) payments on a new ice motorcycle for the ELATIVE TO NEW ACE
traffic officer. Such payments not to exceed 4:140. 1,10TCRCYCLE IPOR TRAFFIC

It was moved and carried that the City Clerk be
authorized &nd instructed to write a letter to
the railroad commission relative to the matter
of the completion of the work ordered by them.
It was moved and carried that the City Engineer

be authorized to furnish grades for sidewalks
on Angeleno Avenue between Sixth and Centre 3t
It was moved and carried that the matter of a
street light on the corner of Lemon and Center
Street be referred to the superintendent of
Light and dater to report at next meeting.
It was moved that the following bills be
allowed and warrants ordered drawn upon the
Treasury for the same.
