HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1766k RESOLUTION NO. 1766 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, FIXING THE SALARIES OF CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows: BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Azusa that the monthly salaries of the following employees of the City of Azusa for the positions herein designated for each, be fixed at the amounts placed opposite their respective names and positions to -wit: J. 0. Clark Lineman 190.00 Howard Siddall Pump Operator 140.00 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the terms of em- ployment and compnesation of each of said employees shall be subject to further action of the Council at any time and that each employee shall hold his position at the pleasure of the Council. -2- At the termination of the egiployment of the respective employees whether by reason of death, action of the City Council in declaring the position vacant or declaring the termination thereof or for any reason whatsoever whether herein specifically mentioned or not, said employee shall be paid to the date of such termination only and not for any unexpired portion of the then calendar month, such payment for such month.to be in that proportion of the employee's compen- sation as the number of days which the employee has served in that month bears to 30 days. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all resolutions here- tofore enacted by the City Council respecting the salary of any employee ,in this resolution.named, is hereby rescinded so far as said in refers to salary of such employee, but not in any other respect. BE IT.FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this resolution and the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption thereof. Attest: umper ty of Azusa MAE A. Hynes, City Clerk of the City of Azusa, Los Angeles County, California, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting of said City Council held in the regular Council Chambers of said City Council in said City on August 3, 1942, and that the same was passed and adopted by the following vote of the Council: - Ayes: Councilmen: Owens, Malone, Bradshaw, Morden, Jumper.
