A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING
THE RESULT OF THE OFFICIAL COUNT AIM CA14VASS OF
THE VOTERS AT THE GENERAL KUNICIPAL ELECTION
HELD IN SAID CITY ON APRIL 14, 1942..
The City Council.of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS a General Municipal Election was held and
conducted in the City.of Azusa, Los Angeles County, State
of California,. on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1942, as
required by law, and
WHEREAS it appears that Notice of said. Election was
duly and legally given and that there were two voting
Precincts established for said Election consisting of
Consolidation of regular City Precincts for holding.State
and County Elections as the same were and.are.established

by the.Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles, California;
that election officials were appointed and election supplies
furnished and that in all respects said election was held
and conducted and the returns thereof made and declared in
time, form and manner.as required by the General Laws of
the State of California governing elections in cities of
the fifth and sixth classes; and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Azusa met at
the Council Chambers of said Council on Tuesday the 21st
d,y of April, 1942, to.canvass the returns of said election
and install the newly elected officers. FJhereupon the said
Council.found that the number of votes cast, the names of the
persons voted for, the result of said election and other
matter required by law, to be as hereinafter stated.

NON, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND DECLARED
AS _FOLLO?"1S:
That said regular Municipal Election was held and
conducted in the City of Azusa, California, on Tuesday the
14th day of April,.1942, in the time, form and manner as
required by law.
That there were two voting precincts established for
the purpose of holding said election consisting of a consoli-
dation of the regular Election Precincts established for holding
General State and County Elections.
That the whole number of votes cast in said City of
Azusa at said election was 963..
That the names of the persons voted for, the offices
for which they were voted, and the number of votes which were
received in the entire City of Azusa are as follows: -

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND DETER1.1111ED that at
said General Municipal Election Harry D. Jumper.was.elected
to office of Member of the'City Council of the City of Azusa,
California, for the full term of four years; also that
Victor A. Owens was elected to office of Member of the City
Council of the City of Azusa, California, for the full term
Of four years; also that Archie C. Morden was elected to
office of Member of the City Council of the City of Azusa,
California, for the full term of four years;
A1qD BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk
shall immediately make and deliver to each of said persons so
elected a Certificate of Election signed by her and duly
authenticated; that she shall also impose, or have imposed,
the constitutional oath of office upon said persons so elected
as M embers of the City Council of said City, and shall have them
subscribe thereto and file the same in her office; thereupon,
each and all of said persons so elected to said respective
offices shall be inducted in.said respective office to which
they have been elected.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution
was regularly adopted by the City Council of the City of
Azusa at a regularly adjourned meeting of said Council held
in the regular Council Chambers of said City Council in said
City on April 21, 1942,, and that'the same was passed by the
following vote of the Council:
Ayes: Councilmen: Malone, Bradshaw, Arnold, Jumper.
Noes None
Absent: Councilman: Owens.
