A RESOLUT201I OF THE CITE' COU17.CIL OF
^HE CITU OF AZUSA, LOS A1GELES COUNTY,
CALIFORTIA, REGU'LATW SICK LEAVE.
The City.Council of the City of Azusa does
resolve as follors:
SECTION 1. Commencing as and from and effective
as of January 1 1942, all employees and officers
of the City of lzusa regularly (as distinguished
from casually) employed by said City, shell, in
the event of illness incapacitating such employee
or officer from performing the duties of his em-
ployment rith said city, be entitled to a sick
leave of not to exceed two reeks in any one calendar
year.
SECTION 2. In the event of illness incapacitating
an employee or officer as hereinbefore defined in
Section 1, from performing the duties of his employ-
ment, such employee or officer shall be entitled,
notwithstandinS such illness, to his regular pay for
such duration of said illness as is not in excess of
said employee's or officer's right to sick leave.
SECTIOr 3. The right of an employee or officer of
the City of Azusa to sick leave, as prescribed in
this Resolution, shall and does have no bearing
rhatsoever on otlier privileges of such employee or
officer or on vacation -ri,;hts, such right of sick
leave being limited in effect to incapacities of an
employee or officer by reason o: actual illness;
nor shall such riLht to sits leave be held or con-
strued to extend, or to ad? to, the tern of employ-
ment or pay of an employee or officer beyond the,
time legally fixed for the termination of such
employment.
SECTION 4. Resolution No. 1634 of the City of
Azusa passed and ado)ted the 4th day of December,
1939, shall be and the same is hereby rescinded and
repealed.
