RESOLUTION NO. 1738
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA COMMENDING THE BRAVERY OF
PATROLMAN LOVELACE.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS it has been.brought to the attention of
this Council that Patrolman Lovelace displayed unusual.
fortitude,.initiative.and devotion to public service de-
spite grave personal danger when he discovered two robbers
in the offiee,of.the Williams Lumber Yard on West Foothill
Boulevard. Unaided and at the risk of his own life he.
showed extraordinary heroism and indomitable courage in
protecting the property of the citizens of Azusa.
NOW THEREFORE.BE IT RESOLVED in recognition of
this clear minded action the City Council submits this
public commendation for heroism in the performance of
public service.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED this Resolution be spread'
upon the minutes of the City Council and the Clerk in-
structed to send a copy of same to Patrolman Lovelace.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor of said
City shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk cer-
tify to the passage and adoption thereof.
Passed, approved and adopted this 3rd day of
November, 1941e
