HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1676RESOLUTION NO. 2_ 4Z A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AZUSA APPROVING APPLICATION FOR A WORKS PROGRESS ADMINISTRATION PROJECT PROPOSAL, SPONSOR'S CERTIFICATE AND AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEM FACILITIES. WHEREAS, the Works Progress Administration has presented a Project Proposal No. 9, dated June 17, 1940 providing for the con- struction of outfall, trunk, interceptor, lateral, and house connect- ion sewers, and sanitary sewer structures and facilities; excavating; installing pipe; backfilling; resurfacing; and performing appurtenant and incidental work within the City of Azusa, the cost of which is to be paid partially by Federal funds and partially by City funds in the estimated amounts set forth in said application; and WHEREAS, said Progress Administration has also presented a Sponsor's certificate and agreement in accordance with the project proposal hereinabove mentioned; and WHEREAS, the City Council has examined said application for a project proposal and has heard read said application and Sponsor's certificate and agreement in full and is familiar with the contents thereof and desires to approve the same, THEREFORE, BE IT RESuLVED by the City Council of the City of Azusa that Thomas L. Munson, City Treasurer of said City is hereby designated and appointed as the Fiscal Officer of the City of Azusa, and Paul E. Kressly, City Engineer of said City is hereby designated and appointed as the Sponsor's Agent for the City of Azusa, and said Thomas L. Munson and Paul E. Kressly are hereby directed and empowered to sign said application for a project proposal and Sponsor's Certi- ficate and Agreement for and on behalf of said City of Azusa.
