A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUP?CIL OF THE CITY OF
AZUSA AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE f".AYOR AND
THE CITY CLERK TO TAKE THE NECESSARY STEPS TO
ACQUIRE CERTAIN LOTS LOCATED ''!ITHIN THE CITY OF
AZUSA FR9,1 THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES UNDER
SECTION 3897D OF THE POLITICAL CODE.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as
17F=14 9S the facilities for protecting and housing
machinery and equipment belonging to the City of Azusa are
limited and insufficient, and
WHEREAS the storage facilities for repairs and
equipment of city property are not sufficiently extensive
and the repair and work shops are not sufficiently ex-
tensive, and
WHEREAS such repair shops, storage sheds and
yards are located in Block 23, original plat of the
City of Azusa and are adjacent to Lots 13 to 24 inclusive
and Lots 8, 10, 11 and 12, all in said Block 23, and
'.7HERE.SS the taxes on the above mentioned lots
have been delinquent since 1932, and the City of Azusa
holds a tax lien against the same, and
WHEREAS it is necessary that the City of Azusa
acquire the full legal title to said lots for the pur-
pose of extending its facilities for housing, storing
and repairing the road equipment and other machinery and
equipment of the City of Azusa, and
7HEREAS the County taxes against the said lots
are also delinquent, and said Los Angeles County has a
tax lien against the same,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Azusa, that the ;.:ayor and City Clerk of said City
be, and are hereby instructed to file application with the
Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County, California, to
purchase said lots at a nominal figure from said County
under and pursuant to provisions of Section 3897D of the
Political Code, and

1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that if and when the nurchase
of said lots shall be completed, the same shall be used
2 by the City of Azusa for the purpose of extending its sheds
and yards and machine shops used for the purpose of housing,
3 protecting and repairing the machinery and equipment of
said city and for no other purpose.

5 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the I.,ayor shall sign this
6 Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the same and certify
to the passage and adoption thereof.
