May 19th, 1924 7:30 P. M. 331
The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
met in regular.session at the above time and
place.
Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Meier,
Case, Chenoweth, Peirce, City Clerk and City
Attorney. Absent: None.
The minutes of the meeting held May 5th and of
the regular adjourned meeting of May 13th, 1924
were read and approved as read.
'On motion the request of Maurice Jones for one
weeks vacation commencing May 21, 1924 was granted.
It was moved that the request of T. L. Munson for
a water main extension on North San Gabriel Ave.
was referred to the Superintendent of the Water
and Light Department with power to act.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
The matter of the loan of chairs to the Chamber
of Commerce was referred to Trustee Meier with
power to act.
It was moved and carried that the Bonds of City
Clerk, City Recorder and Revenue Collector be
approved and accepted.
The following Ordinance was presented:
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE ERECTION AND MAIN-
TENANCE OF BLINKER LIGHTS UPON AND ADJACENT TO
PUBLIC HIGHWAYS AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE
OF PERMITS FOR THE SA,1E A14D PROVIDING A PENALTY
'FOR VIOLATION OF ANY OF THE PROVISIONS HEREOF.
The Ordinance was read..
On motion duly carried the Ordinance was de-
clared read for the second time and taken up
for its third reading and final passage.
The Ordinance was read.

Absent: None.
The following Resolution was presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR THE TRANSFER
OF $500.00 FROM THE GENERAL FUND TO THE WATER
FUND.
The Resolution was read.
On motion the same was adopted as read.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: None.
Absent: None.
The following Ordinance was presented:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY'
OF AZUSA ESTABLISHING THE RATES FOR ELECTRIC SER-
VICE FOR SAID CITY FOR: (1) DOMESTIC AND COMMERCIAL
'LIGHTING RATE: (2) COMBINED LIGHTING, HEATING AND
COOKING RATE: (3) GENERAL POWER RATE, AND REPEAL-
ING ALL ORDINANCES OR PORTIONS OF ORDINANCES OF
SAID CITY IN CONFLICT HEREWITH.
The Ordinance was read.
It was moved that the Ordinance be declared read
for the first time and 1&kd over to next meeting.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees: Moon,

It was moved and carried that the City Attorney
be requested to bring in an amendment to the
building ordinance requiring a flush toilet in
every building used as a residence.
It was moved that the matter of employment of
a man for canyon patrol work be referred to Trustee
Pierce with power to act.
