A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF AZUSA PROTESTING ASSEMBLY
BILL #�MB.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does
resolve as follows:
WHEREAS, there is pending before the present
State Legislature a bill known as Assembly.Bill No. 1368
introduced by Assemblymen Williamson and Cannon; and
WHEREAS, the provision of this bill which would
regulate the operation and administration of public
libraries, would add to the costs of maintaining them in
the smaller communities and would in other ways be
detrimental to the best interests of cities such as
Azusa.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Azusa City Coun-
oil that we oppose the enactment of this legislation by.
every legitimate means and especially appeal to our Senator
and Assemblyman to vote against it.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a.copy of this
Resolution be mailed to Senator.Robert W. Kenny and
Assemblyman Lee T. Bashore.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the'Mayor shall
sign this resolution and the -City Clerk attest and
certify to the passageandadoption thereof.
