HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 1916RESOLUTION NUMBER 1916 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY ..OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AN EXCEPTION :AND VARIANCE UNDER ORDINANCE NUMBER 342 AND APPL"ICABLE T.0 LOTS'15 AND 16 IN - BLOCK 37 IN SAID CITY, OF AZUSA. The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve as follows;' WHEREAS,, Roy Arnold and Martha N* Arnold are the owners of Lots Number 1.5 and 16 in Block 37 in the City of Azusa, Los Angeles County, California; and., ?'HEREAS, a petition for exception and variance has been duly filed, praying for an exception and variance as to afore- said property enlarging the uses thereof from R-1 to M-1, uses are defined in Ordinance Number 342 of the City of Azusa and any amendments. thereof, the granting of .which petition has been recommended to the City Council.by the City Planning Commission of said City, and WHEREAS the City Council of said City of Azusa has found and does hereby find, determine and declare that no further notice of filing of said petition or of the hearing thereof is necessary or required, such further notice being hereby dispensed with, and WHEREAS such -exception and._variance is hereby found and determined necessary for th,e preservation and enjoyment of the substantia]►>proper'ty rights of'the'petitioner therefore and is "not.materialjy detrimental to. the public welfare or injurious 'to t}ae=,property 6r -improvements in the other zones or districts; ;NOW THER4FORW BE IT R S OLVr� by the City Council of said wC;ty ©f AJusa 1�hat an exception and variance be and the same is/ ; are hereby 6rde3�edtand made permitting the Location, erection, uSe; operati"n and maintenance on and in said pronerty, by the present,oWnel .or owners thereof or by his or their heirs, executors, .administrators, lessees, grantees, successors or assigns of any building, structure or improvement permitted under t�+e classification of Zone iel''Light "•Manufacturing,: District as the uses of said. zone M-1 General Manufacturing District`'are set forth and defined in said Ordinance 342 and any amendments thereof, provided however 'that this Resolution shall not be construed or be held to author- ize or to permit, the location,'erection, use, operation and main- tenance of any building,"structure or improvement or theecarrving on of any activity, in or on said property, which is or may be detrimental to other property In the neighborhood or to thg welfare of the owners or':occupants of such other property or detrimental to the health, peace or welfare of the City of Azusa or any of its inhabitants: BE IT FURTEEa RESOLVED that the faayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest:.Hthe sameland'certify to the passage and adoption thereof. aymon amm Mayor of the City of Azusa Attest; ae A.
