A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CI`1'Y OF AZUSA, LOS ANGELES COUNTY,
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING AN EXCEPTION AND
VARIANCE UNDER ORDIFANCE IwMBER 342 AT,'D
APPLICABLE TO A PART OF LOT 68 IN SUB_
DIVISION #2 AZUSA LAID AND 17ATE R COI: PANY.
The City Council of the City of Azusa does resolve
as follows:
WHEREAS, J. S. Crowl is the olrmer of a part of Lot
68 in Subdivision #2 Azusa Land and ;later Company which part
;,of said Lot 68 is substantially described as being
30.16 acres more or less com. at intersection
E. line of Vernon Ave. with 14. line of Foot-
hill Blvd. (133 ft. wide), thence N. on ad.
E. line 1226.94 ft., thence E. on S. line
9th St. 1018v81 ft. to S. line PERy R/117,
thence E. thereon to a pt. 17. 150 ft. at
r/a from E. line Lot 68, thence S. to S. line
of Substation grounds, thence E. 150 ft. to E.
line ad, lot, thence S. 192.5 ft., thence W.
890581 W. 379.39 ft., thence S. 509.45 ft.,
thence W. 205.14 ft., thence S. to M. line of
Foothill Blvd., thence S7 and 17. thereon to Beg.
same being a Part of Lot 68, and
WHEREAS a petition for exception and variance has
been duly filed, praying for an exception and variance as to
aforesaid property enlarging the uses thereof from 1.1-1 to
LI -2, which 11-2 uses are defined in Ordinance Number 342 of
the City of Azusa and any amendments thereof, the granting
of rnich petition has been recommended to the City Council
by the City Planning Commission of said City, and
WHEREAS the City Council of said City of Azusa has
found and does hereby find, determine and declare that no
further notice of the filing of said petition or of the
nearing thereof is necessary or required, such further notice
being hereby dispensed with, and
WHEREAS such exception and variance is/are hereby
found and determined necessary for the preservation,and
enjoyment of the substantial property rights of the petitioner
therefor and is/are not materially detrimental to the nublic
welfare or injurious to the property or improvements in the

zone or district in which said property lies or injurious to
the property or improvements in other zones or districts:
N077 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that an exception and
variance be and the same is/are hereby ordered and made
permitting the location, erection, use, operation and
maintenance on and in said property, by the present owner or
owners thereof or by his or their heirs, executors, adminis-
trators, lessees, grantees, successors or assigns, of any
building, structure or improvement permitted under the class-
ification of Zone I.7-2 - General Llanufacturing District as the
uses of said Zone I1-2 - General H4anufacturing District are set
forth and defined in said Ordinance 342 and any amendments
thereof, provided however that this Resolution shall not be
construed or be held to authorize or to permit, :..L the location,
erection, use, operation and maintenance of any building,
structure or improvement or the carrying on of any activity
in or on said property, which is or may be detrimental to
other property in the neighborhood or to the welfare of the
ov.mers or occupants of such other property or detrimental to
the health, peace or welfare of the City of Azusa or of any of
its inhabitants.
BE I^1 FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor shall sign this
Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest the -same and certify
to the passage and adoption thereof.

the foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly adopted by
the City Council of the City of Azusa at a regular meeting
of said City Council held in the regular council chambers
of said City Council in said City on August 20 , 1945,
