The Board of Trustees of the City of Azusa
met in regular session at the above time and
place.
Present at roll call: Trustees: Moon, Meier,
Case, Chenoweth, Peirce, City Attorney and City
Clerk. Absent: None.
The minutes of the regular meeting held June
2nd, 1924 were read and approved as read.
On motion duly carried the request of C. E.
Gauldin for a vacation of two weeks commencing
'July let, 1924 was granted.
On motion duly carried the application of Ramon
Monleon for a renewal of his pool -room license
was denied and the application of J. A. Ortuno
was granted.
A Communication was received from the Chamber
of Commerce relative to the removal,of the palm
tree on North Azusa Avenue.
On motion duly carried the Street Superintendent
was instructed to remove the same.

The following Ordinance was presented:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF AZUSA GRANTING A RIGHT OF 't9AY TO THE
AZUSA IRRIGATING COUPANY TO LAY A PIPE LINE QN,
A PORTION OF ELEVENTH STREET. IN THE CITY OF
AZUSA.
The Ordinance was read.
It was mo ved that the Ordinance be declared read
for the first time and laid over to next meeting.
Carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier, Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes. None.
Absent: None.
The following Resolution was presented:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
OF AZUSA, DECLARING THE OFFICE OF STREET SUPERIN-
TENDENT VACANT AND APPOINTING J. E. LEE TO THAT
OFFICE AND FIXING HIS SALA RY OR COMPENSATION.
The Resolution was read.
On motion the.same was adopted as read.
Carried. by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees:
Moon, Meier,_Case, Chenoweth, Peirce. Noes: Done.
Absent: None.
On motion duly carried the plans and specifica-
tions for the James Slauson memorial plunge as pre-
sented by Keith Vosburg were approved.
